Spent yesterday putting the polish on the rest of the traps, decorations, and secrets in the maze, and we open at noon today. Kenna drove over a food truck and started cooking early this morning. She has all sorts of what she calls fair foods available.
People have been trying to get a sneak peek at the maze for the past several days, but I think we've kept everything pretty well hidden. I am very hopeful that everyone enjoys it. The festival will run from today to midnight Halloween.
The town looks amazing. Everywhere is decorated to the nine's (I am not sure if I am using that term correctly) Even Tom is smiling though he claims to hate the holiday.
There is a large group of children that wait for the bus near the end of my drive, and almost all of them are dressed up for the opening parade that opens the festival. Kenna swoons over the little ones, however there is a sadness in her eyes.
I might ask her tonight why she looked sad.
