So much to do before the snow comes. We need to weatherize the house, prep the machines for storage, draining fluids connecting the batteries to tenders, make sure the battery backups in both the garage and barn are working properly, make sure the seed vault is sealed, double check that the electrical system in the house is up to code, get extra fuel stored, and Kenna said it was vital that the ceramic snowman find a home over the fireplace. I don't know why that is important, but she said it was.
The work will take the better part of a week alone. With both of us working at it it should take 3-4 days. Kenna suggested reaching out to some of the high school kids and see if they wanted a job helping out, seeing as the harvest gave us almost triple what was expected, I guess we can afford it.
I also need to plan out the fields for the planting season a few short months away. Aside from cutting the grass, the orchards tend to themselves.
Kenna said she would reach out to the school to post the job looking for 2 helpers.
