Another day at the apartment above Kenna's market, Cleaning walls, patching picture frame holes, painting, making sure all the plumbing and electric worked flawlessly, Installing new fixtures, lights, cleaning and lubricating windows and hinges.
Kenna joked that maybe we should sell the house and move into the apartment, it was looking so good. I smiled at her finishing the final touches to the paint in the bathroom.
The only thing left to do was to reseal the hardwood floors and move the furniture back into place.
Once all was done, we met with Tom for a small get together barbeque at his house. I had never been there. Business must be good, his house was very nice. Much nicer then mine. I was glad he was doing well.
I met several others from the community, spoke with them without fear, without needing to feel guarded, like I was just a normal person.
Is this what it's like to have friends?
