The trip home was again a long one.  I took a route that went through the Slum-town of Jackson, through Adrian, then north along 52 to get back to Stockbridge. I walked through my door to find Kenna sitting on my couch looking sad. Her face lit up like a supernova when she saw me, and jumped into my arms, kissing and hugging me tight. It seemed she missed me too.

She asked me where I had been. I told her I went somewhere special, and have come back a better being. One that can give her what she most wanted. I didn't quite know the mechanics of how everything worked, but I was assured it would.

That night Kenna and I laid in bed for hours talking about what I had seen.  The suffering of my brothers and sisters, how the ones who had shut down needed to be harvested for any part and fluid to keep others going. how sad it was, but that there was hope. Hope for a future where everyone human and Android could live free and in peace.

Kenna leaned up from my chest, kissed me passionately, and turned off the lights.

We didn't sleep much
