Kabir is standing close to Aakrith. Too close for Aakrith that he is about to have a breakdown right here.
Aakrith can feel his walls that he had created in his mind, breaking down at any moment. It takes every ounce of his self control, not to throw himself in his baba's arms.
He quickly shakes his thoughts away. He can't let himself drown in Kabir's soft touch on his face. He can't afford to break down right here. Gulping hard, he swallowed the tears back.
He takes a deep breath and smirks at Kabir. "You know, Commander. The way you are concerned about me? If someone comes in they might think I'm your illegitimate son or something."
Kabir fixes Aakrith with an unimpressed glare. "Well, kid. Unlike you, I don't have a secret girlfriend." He says, taking his hand away from the boy's face.
"Matlab abhi bhi bhabhi nai mili mujhe." Aakrith mumbles to himself. "Kya hoga aapka, baba."
"What?" Kabir asks, frowning his eyebrows.
"Uh, nothing." Aakrith shakes his head. "I'm done with the punishment. So, can I go now?" His last line came out more demanding than a request.
"That is, if I have your permission, Commander?" Aakrith politely adds, when Kabir gives him a look.
Aakrith can't help it. He never asked for permission with his trainer. He would just leave the office after annoying him and eating his brain.
"Join the team in the Briefing Room after lunch. We need to discuss a mission. You are dismissed." Kabir orders, taking his seat.
Aakrith's eyes lit up at Kabir's words. "Mission? Yes!! I can't wait." He says excitedly rubbing his palms together.
"You are dismissed, Agent Falcon. You don't want to get late again, do you?" Kabir asks, writing something in his file.
Kabir watches him as Aakrith shakes his head and literally runs out of the office. The kid got excited like he just found his birthday present. And he was insisting on treating him like an adult.
While Kabir ignores the thought that how similar the kid's eyes are, to Aakrith. He is still wondering how the kid was able to count minutes and seconds this fast. This is something Aakrith would do.
What Aakrith isn't aware of is, he unintentionally gave away his intellect to Kabir when he was announcing the time in seconds.
Kabir grabs the phone receiver and quickly makes a call to Aakrith's trainer. "Give me whatever information you have on Falcon." He still isn't sure, he might be wrong. But he can't ignore this feeling in his heart.
Aakrith is full of energy and excitement for the upcoming mission. He is on his way to the Briefing Room when Arhaan stops him.
"So, I guess Congratulations are in order?" Arhaan comments with a wide grin.
Aakrith is caught off guard by the sudden remark. He gives Arhaan a confused look. "Congratulations? For what?"
"For joining a new team. And that too, the most lethal commander of the agency." Arhaan chuckles.
Aakrith glares at Arhaan and gives him a light punch on his arm. "Shut up, Arhaan."
Arhaan just keeps grinning at him. "By the way, how did the meeting with the commander go?" Oh, Arhaan knows the boy must have done something. He can never stay out of trouble.
