OCTAVIOUS POV:

We came to life and everyone started doing their own things.

"Ready to be a cowboy tonight" asked Jedediah.

"Yes, what's first" I asked.

We went to the house to get Jedediah's clothes before we started heading to the west exhibit.

"First we have to look the part. I have a outfit that you can borrow" said Jedediah.

"Does that include the hat and leggings" I joked.

"Yes, I can help you put them on" said Jedediah.

"I always found your cowboy fashion a little weird" I said.

"Its not fashion, it keeps us alive" said Jedediah.

I was confused and concerned.

"What could the hat possible protect you from" I asked.

"Oh the hat, that just keeps the sun out of our face. The bandana we can pull up over our face when it gets too dusty. Finally the boots and chaps is so those pesky snakes can't bite us as easily" said Jedediah.

"Snakes" I asked.

"Yep, the old west is a dangerous place" said Jedediah.

We made it Jedediah's house and he gave me some clothes. I put on the outfit and looked at myself. I notice Jedediah is staring.

"Something I can help you with" I asked.

Jedediah blushed and looked away.

"Nope, no, I'm good" said Jedediah.

I put my old clothes on the bed and picked up the bandana. I wrapped it around my neck but gagged.

"Not to tight Octy" said Jedediah as he rushed over to help me.

"Here, turn around" said Jedediah as he took the bandana.

I turned around and Jedediah wrapped the bandana around my neck. I actually like this position.

"I don't want you choking out there. There is enough breathing problems with all the dust here" said Jedediah.

He tied the bandana and finished.

"There, how does that feel" asked Jedediah.

"Better, I thought you wore these tighter" I said.

"No, we need to actually be able to breath" said Jedediah.

He grabbed the chaps.

"Spread your legs quick" said Jedediah.

I looked down and blushed before looking up.

"You know what I mean, just spread your legs quick" said Jedediah while blushing.

I spread my legs a little so Jedediah can tie the chaps around my legs. Once they were on and secure the last thing was a holster and a gun.

"Hopefully you won't need it but I like having a husband who isn't dead. However we have gun laws so I promised the others you would only fire it if a rattle snake or some other wild animal attacks you" said Jedediah.

"Fair enough" I said.

These pants feel a little heavy. How is this hat suppose to stay on without straps?

"Ready" asked Jedediah.

"Yes" I said.

We left the house and went outside. I guess the hat does add shade from the sun. But it's really dusty here. Not in the air or anything but just dirt everywhere. I see why no one is wearing white. I imagine it's hard to keep clean.

"There is a outhouse in case you need a bathroom" said Jedediah pointing.

A cowboy walked up to us.

"Hey you two, some of us noticed the weather and there appears to be a dust storm in the distance. So you might want to consider rescheduling but we don't know where the storm is going" said the cowboy.

Jedediah and I looked at one of the walls and saw a huge brown cloud in the sky. Now yes the exhibits have weather.

"Oh ya, I suppose we will have to keep a eye on that" said Jedediah.

The cowboy nodded and went back to work.

"Dust storm" I asked.

"Its just a lot of dirt in the air. If it gets too bad we can leave but the bandana can help protect your mouth and nose" said Jedediah.
