The game

It's been several weeks since the fight with Severus and James over lily. To light the fire more Slytherin and Gryffindor were competing this week for the quidditch cup. Rumors had begun to spread over what happened. Gryffindors loved the gossip and everything that came with it, when people saw James and Lily getting closer it spread like wildfire. Everyone knew he loved her, and that he was infatuated with her but no one thought they would get together. Of course these rumors from Gryffindor towers quickly made their way down to the Slytherin common room, where a furious Snape could be found. He tried to apologize to Lily for what happened but she was always with someone, sometimes it would be Remus who would stare Snape down making him walk the other way, or Grace who was quick to say a low hex and make Snape walk into the wall repeatedly without any control over his body. Snape could deal with Remus and Grace but when he saw her with him, he turned scarlet. She was with James, laughing, walking side by side, he would remember when that used to be him. He used to make her laugh like that but now the sight of him makes her writhe and go the opposite direction. When James realized that Snape was there he didn't look at him, both him and Lily walked right past him not saying a word, only enjoying the joke that James had said.

Whenever there was a match between slytherin and gryffindor, the group knew to stay by their side. Grace and Regulus would stay in the dungeons with the other Slytherins out of fear if they were seen as traitors. These matches meant everything to the Slytherins, they had not won in a long time, each match was one step closer to the cup, something that seems to always pass them by.

"So if you and sirius break up would it be weird?" Daisy asked Grace, earning a pillow thrown at her by Regulus. Normally when these games would happen, the 7 of them would hang out without the fear of mixing with the other team.

"You can't say that Dai, remember now if we ask about a certain hufflepuff you shut up and don't say anything right. Leave it to your imagination." Lisa said while adjusting herself, turning to view Sarah and adrian. "See if you ask Grace that you should ask them too, they started dating this year and they're in the same friend group '' Lisa said back to Daisy who looked irritated with her.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Lisa." Michelle said she was the quietest of the group. If you didn't know her personally, you could imagine a saint but she was far from saint-like. In her years at Hogwarts she coined the name "the female sirius",having been in more relationships than all the marauders combined. Lisa was the more aggravated one, she spoke what she believed. She fought for causes that no one else believed in. Sarah was what you expected from a pureblood family. She was calm and collected but when she started dating Adrian the tension rose. While her family wasn't as big into blood supremacy as the blacks, they did hope for a halfblood at least. That would be the case, if her family knew. Sarah had lied to everyone, no one knew about Adrian, and her friends thought that the greengrass family knew.

The next day at breakfast Sarah received a howler. She looked at it and her friends questioned what would be on it. Slowly she opened it.

"SARAH GREENGRASS, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? A MUGGLEBORN. REALLY. AND TO HEAR ABOUT IT FROM THE BLACKS. MERLIN KNOWS THAT WALLBRUGA WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET US THROWN OUT OF THE 28TH.CLAIMING THAT WE'RE NOT FULLY PURE. YOU THINK A MUGGLEBORN WILL HELP THE SITUATION. BELLATRIX WENT AND TOLD HER MOTHER WHO TOLD WALBURGA WHO MENTIONED IT OVER TEA IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE 28. DO YOU KNOW HOW ASHAMED WE WERE, HOW ASHAMED WE ARE OF YOU RIGHT NOW, I'M DISAPPOINTED IN YOU. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US? WE EXPECTED BETTER FROM YOU." the whole great hall was looking at her. Tensions even higher with the game happening this afternoon.

"They didn't know?" Adrian asked, tearing up voice breaking after each word.

"I'm sorry I didn't know what to do." Sarah said before Adrian got up and left. He walked out of the hall, with his head down.
