Throughout the next few weeks the rumors wouldn't stop. Whether they were about grace and Sirius or about James and this mysterious boy. The people of Hogwarts were stunned with the pairing. Ever since them being known, you could see the couple hand in hand. Happier than ever while a brooding James was in the back looking for misery. It was said that James had moved out of their dorm room, relaxing that Peter and Remus knew of Sirius' secret. He had even stopped pining over Lily for both reasons, her knowing of the love between his best friend and twin and also for regulus. James wanted to talk to him but Regulus was never alone. When Regulus found out what Grace did, he gave her a bone crushing hug whispering sweet thank yous while slowly beginning to break down in her arms. For the first time this year he felt relieved, he felt as if a thousand pounds had been lifted off of him. He would later on tell Sirius of the relationship. This led to a fight between the happy couple, because Sirius thought he had a right to know when he really didn't. Sirius began to dislike James at this moment even more for relaxing; he did the same thing Grace did, yet Grace didn't hate him or hold it against him.

The following week Sirius had received a letter from his mother, for the first time since 3rd year. He didn't open the letter till he could get everyone, knowing his mom had a thing for curses and hexes. He rounded up Grace, Regulus, Remus, and Peter. He wanted to invite James but he knew that would only make things worse.

"Open it whenever you're ready, we have the first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and a bucket of ice just in case. But go ahead take your time "Peter said rather awkwardly highlighting each object not knowing what to expect.

Sirius slowly opened it and began to read it. The other 4 looked at his face and tried to figure out what the letter said. Shocked turned into confusion which turned into anger and then broken.

"THIS FUCKING BITCH" the boy bellowed loud enough for all of hogwarts to hear. The four teens looking at Sirius go through 4 emotions at once, anger, betrayal, despair, and confusion. Which he often felt from his mother, or even his whole family, he knew he didn't fit in with them. While Sirius was too stunned to speak, Regulus took the letter and began to read it aloud.

"Dear Son,

I received a letter from Dumbledore saying you were involved in a fight with none other than James Potter, now i don't know why you were fighting him nor do I care. But what I do care about is that you love life. A little snake tells me that you're dating a slytherin, albeit, she is a potter. But nonetheless she's a slytherin, I wonder what grace is like in real life. I do expect her to come over during the upcoming break, if not you will pay the consequence.

Give regulus all my love,

Walburga Black."

"Snape probably told Bellatrix or lucius and they told mom, there's no other logical way." regulus said while handing the people to the other 3 teens who looked stunned.

"I guess I'm meeting my in-laws over break, how nice '' Grace said while walking over to her boyfriend trying to bring him back to reality. "I'm going and you two can't change that. If i dont go, she might be with you or worse, you can never know with her, she's unpredictable."

"We'll protect you from them if anything goes wrong but don't worry.'' Regulus said, looking to his older brother. "Don't worry siri if mom wants to hurt grace she'll have to go through me and you, and we all know mom cares too much for looks to get dirty." the younger black spoke, earning a slight chuckle from his brother and everyone in the room.

The weeks leading up to break seemed to fly by. Sirius didn't respond to the letter, but had added something into Regulus' letter saying how Grace will be there for dinner. The relationship between Grace and James had begun to rekindle. The only times Regulus was alone was when he was with grace. James had stopped them both and apologized to them for numerous things. Both the slytherins forgave him while hugging him and welcoming him to the common room. The three caught up and Grace told James about the letter and the dinner. James had offered to go but the pairing decided against it as it would be awkward with Sirius and James both there. When winter break came James and Sirius were on mediocre terms. James had moved back into the room saying his roommate snores too loud for his liking. While living together the two boys have only shared a few thank yous or hellos for the past 2 months. Soon it was time to go and everyone parted ways. 

The next time Grace would see her boyfriend was at the dinner his parents were hosting. But for some reason she kept having uneasy feelings toward it. Her gut was telling her to stay home but her brain said she had to go. No matter what, she had to meet her in-laws.
