Mines(a Sirius Black fan fiction)

5 years later

It was their 5th year in Hogwarts, if only James and Grace knew what was coming for them. It was the first day of school as grace walked down to the Great hall she saw him. Tall, tan, Sirius Black. With his shoulder length hair and devilish smile he looked good. But then again the potter girl had begun to fall for him seriously in their third year when they both took ancient runes together. The two of them being paired together sparked up some feelings in both of them, not they would tell each other of course. Since then the pair had a friendly relationship,but, in private it was so much more.

"Alright there snakey" he asked, walking toward the girl who had looked like she saw a dragon.

"Fine snuffles. You" she replied with a smirk saying the nickname they had given him.

"How many times must we go over this it's padfoot not snuffles" he said shaking his head trying to hide his smile.

As the two were so close grace swore her heart was beating out of her chest right now. And as if on cue James walked in "ah pads there you are and I see you have found my dearest sister" he spoke wrapping one arm around your waist and the other around Sirius' head, because whether James would ever admit it but Sirius was taller than him by a few inches. As the three of them stood there Remus and Peter finally emerged and all five of them walked in together. It wasn't a rare occurrence Grace would sit with her brother and his friends during breakfast. As they sat down grace was in the middle of her brother and her crush. As they all talked and ate Grace had noticed Sirius barely touched his plate. As she was going to ask him about it, James started a next tangent about lily.

"You know brother, I could help you with her, considering she is one of my close friends' ' the girl spoke as she closed James' mouth to prevent a fly from going in.

"You know him, he's too stubborn to accept help from anyone especially when it comes to lily" remus said, finishing up his food. ''We now must get to class. Who has what". "I have charms," James spoke, "ok so it looks like James, me and Peter all have charms together and Grace and Sirius have defense against the dark arts together" Remus said as Grace and Sirius looked at each other then at their fellow marauder.

"How do you know my schedule?" Grace asked curiously as she had her schedule in her hand. The other marauder didn't answer but just shrugged his shoulders. "Ok well i'll be back im gonna go see my fellow snakes and see what they have."

As she left the 4 boys she ran into Regulus, the two growing close as they knew everything about each other. Regulus knew about Grace's crush on his older brother and Grace, knew about Regulus and James fling. She had comforted the boy when he told her James called quits on it. The two walked hand in hand not hiding it, but it didn't mean that someone didn't get jealous. Sirius saw and questioned if Grace liked his brother and not him, they were almost always together and she looked happier with her then with him. As the two of them walked to their friends they were all discussing class. Sarah and Adrian had charms with Remus,James , and peter. Daisy and Michelle had a transfiguration with the Hufflepuffs and Lisa had study hall. As they sat down grace could see out of the corner of her eye Sarah and Adrian holding hands, as grace was about to ask the pair locked lips. The other five looked at each other then asking a bunch of questions. As Adiran and Sarah talked about their relationship, Grace wondered if she would ever have a relationship with her lover.

 As the day went on it was very uneventful, barely any homework so the youngest potter decided to go see her brother and catch a glimpse of her lover. As she walked there she pondered if she could ever have him, what it would be like to be held by him.

 As she entered the room dirty laundry was already on the floor taking up space. As she rolled her eyes and made her way to her brother's bed to lay down she saw all four boys walk out the bathroom quite weirdly. "You know if someone else were to see that they question you all" she said while laughing at the four boys. "I'd just prove how straight I am by kissing the female there," sirius said while walking toward Grace and putting his arm on her leg. 

But not before James made a very disgusted noise and pried him off of her. " you know the rules, padfoot, she is off limits." the older boy said while holding him very close, his voice dangerously low for his usual self. The tension was thick, it could easily be cut with a blade. "Well you see prongs if you let me date her id treat her differently, I wouldn't hurt her" sirius said while looking at the boy. "Yeah ok mister no she's off limits my sister won't be dating my best friend'' the potter boy said. "You know you're a hypocrite, you say your best friend cant date your sister yet you pine for lily who is your sisters best friend' sirius rebutted making the 3 boys look at him in shock for finally mentioning lily and saying something semi smart. Before either of them could say anything, marelne came upstairs and hush led them to get dress and down for supper. and so they did. 

as they went downstairs there were stolen glances that happened between the two, hands lightly brushing against the others. they walked in silence. and for the first time in all the years they have been at Hogwarts grace left and sat with her fellow Slytherins rather her brother, causing everyone to question and ponder why the youngest one left.
