"I will never love you. You're just a means to an end. You're worthless, no man could ever love you. You don't deserve your pure blood status. You're a disgrace to us." he spoke with such venom and hatred for the young girl as she sat in the corner unable to move for fear of her life.

"Please sirius you don't mean this let me go '' she whispered so quietly that it was a wonder the tall boy towering over her even understood what she was saying.

"Why would I let you go when I could just end all of our misery now. Ava-''

And with a jolt she woke up clutching her wand. She looked around the room to find everyone sleeping as it was 4 in the morning. Fearing the ending of the dream she got up and decided to go to the place where she could just be. The place where she goes whenever anything happens, the place that was always there for her when she had no one else, the astronomy tower.

As she walked to the tower she questioned if that's what he thought, if he hated her and all the moments she thought they had was a lie. She was confused with her feelings, her heart who says to go and proclaim her love for him, her brain saying not to because he was her brother's best friend.

"Such a cliche grace, falling for your brother's best friends' ' she repremanied herself as she neared the top of the tower. Behind one of the boxes she had stashed away a blanket. She pulled out the blanket and wrapped it around herself and sat on the ledge, her feet dangling off the end.

As she watched her breath fly away from her she heard a crack in the stairs. Fearing a teacher finding her , she got up and tried to find a way out but sadly the only way out was through the steps or jumping. If it was a teacher she'd say she had sleepwalked here thinking the excuse would work.

But at last it was Sirius, she let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding in when she saw him.

"Wow snakey that relieved to see me?" he questioned as he patted her on the  head and took up the seat she once was in.

"Haha you wish snuffles, I thought you were a professor, or worse flich" she spoke, taking up the seat next to him wrapping him in the blanket and placing her head on his shoulder.

"Oh no it's not that hairless goon and his beady eye cat, just little old me." he said resting his head on hers kissing it while doing so.

The two enjoyed the silence together; they just sat and played with each other's hands, doing little nothings and enjoying the company, grace finally spoke up.

"What are you doing up snuff" she said while moving her head so she could look at him. The way the moonlight glistens and makes him glow, his unbrushed hair that was pulled into a man bun. He looked perfect to her, he always did look perfect.

"Couldn't sleep" he replied turning and bracing against the pillar " what about you love, you look like you need to talk"

the nickname that she convinced herself meant nothing but anytime he called her it, her heart fluttered and she not only swelled with joy but would turn brighter red than the tomatoes Spout would grow.

"It was just a bad dream" she responded inching closer to him for warmth.

he looked at her tilting his head but not pushing the matter.

The pair had found themselves dangerously close. Where one would see imperfections all they saw were perfection in each other. Sirius stared at the girl he's loved since 3rd year with such a longing to be able to kiss her and not regret it. All he ever wanted was her brother's permission for them to be together. He placed her hand on her cheek slowly rubbing circles into it. Her hand was on his left shoulder playing with the strand of hair that fell out of the bun.

As they looked at each other no one was talking. Just a longing loving look they were giving. He kept thinking of ways to tell her how he felt, to proclaim his love forever. But as all the other times it never worked. He remembered the valentines days he was going to ask her to be his but she walked hand and hand with regulus. Out of jealousy he burned the card, it was a bit extreme but it was their third year, he was hot tempered. Both of them were and still are to this day. Grace had overheard Marlene talking about Sirius and asking him for her valentines slowly breaking her heart, she told Regulus everything, the stolen glances the feeling. He understood and didn't say anything bad. He would have been very happy had they gotten together as he always considered her a sister.

Before fully thinking out this plan he acted on these feelings ...

"Fuck it what the hell" he spoke so quickly that she didnt process the words. He pulled her in by the chin and with that kissed her like there was no tomorrow.
