Love made me do it

The three boys walked to the great hall and sat at their table looking for James.

"JAMES FLEMONT POTTER ENOUGH LEAVE ME ALONE" Lilly yelled for the great hall to hear. James was stunned by her and walked away. Lily went to the slytherin table to sit with Grace and Regulus who sat across the hall from James.

"Your brother is an insufferable git. I despise him. All this morning he's been irritating me. "Lily flower i picked lilies for you, lily date me, let's go on a date, lily please" i have had enough with him and his shenanigans. I'm tired of your brother.". She spoke so fast barely anyone could understand her.

"Ok lils let's calm down and relax, he's far away from you now" Grace said while looking at Reg whose face looked drained of his energy. The two of them know the reason James broke up with Reg was for lily. Throughout their secret relationship, James didn't put much energy into it. Reggie gave 110% while James didn't give anything, it broke Grace's heart to see what he went through. Both of them knew what it was like to be the other person, but for Regulus, James broke him. Regulus knew from a young age he wasn't straight he would catch himself looking at wizards more than witches. When he came to hogwarts he had concealed his feelings only telling a few select souls, his own brother didn't know the truth about him. Grace had never pegged her brother to play both sides but hey James could do whatever he was the prince to everyone. When Grace found out she was happy for Reggie but soon happiness turned into hatred. She saw how Reggie was treated and was broken. Regulus did everything for him to never care. But it wasn't enough for James, because Regulus could never be lily. He could never be the smart redheaded gryffindor who stands up for what he believes in.

"At least you get his attention lily im sure a thousand other people would love to be you" regulus spoke with such hatred and animosity against her. He got up and left without saying another word. Grace was right behind him leaving a stunned lily to ponder on the younger black's words.

"Regulus what is going on, i know you're broody but this is more testosterone than usual, what's wrong greenine?" Grace asked as she caught up to him, pulling him in by his arm and stopping his tracks.

"I can't do this anymore, I wasn't good enough for him, I'm not good enough for my parents, I'm not good enough for anybody. All I ever wanted was his love and for him to be there for me but no that was too much to ask. Time and time again I kept getting hurt and kept being broken by him, and for what. For him to leave me a few months later and pine over her. All he had to do was try but no he couldn't do that he's an ass and truthfully the only reason to stand him is because of you. You know out of everybody I picked you. You were the person who knew all my flaws and everything wrong but now you're with him and I can't be replaced again. I can't. I'm sorry grace but i just need space please leave me alone" the boy said while turning away from her and walking down to the dungeons. Grace stood there for what felt like an eternity, she thought long and hard if she should go after him but she knew that would do no good. She quietly walked back to the great hall with her head held down trying to wipe and hide the tears before anyone saw it. She was faced with a decision to be with her other friends or to yell at James for being an ass. She slowly walked to the table, when she reached them she didn't know what to say.

"JAMES FLEAMONT POTTER YOU IDIOT '' she yelled while hitting him with the newspaper remus was reading. "You ass of a man, why can't you get it through your skull that she doesn't want anything to do with you? But when you had somebody that thought you were the world you walked all over them. You treat one like shit and then you get treated like shit. Somehow I get in the middle of everything you do because no matter what I have your back. Through thick and thin I did but now you cross a line. You run after Lily when we both know you had somebody perfect and great. But no that wasn't enough for you. You wanted more and more and god forgive if i wanted more. It was always about you and never the other person. Whether it was Lily or me or even him. You know what if people knew about him they would look at you in a different light but no you're the prince of hogwarts who can do no bad. You disgust me, and you know that I broke your precious rule. I'm dating one of your best friends and quite frankly I don't care if you get mad. Get mad and do your worst but I'll do ten times worse" she spoke louder than usual while walking to Sirius and kissing him while flipping off james. "Now how does it feel to be me, your sibling dating your best friend?". Everyone in the hall was looking at the trio. Many bets have been placed and finally they were paid. But before any of the boys could say anything, Grace walked out. She walked and walked and walked. She didn't look back once. She knew that she had done the right thing and didn't care about what he said. But back in the great hall a fight had broken out.

"You're dating my twin sister. I'm going to murder you black you are horrible '' James said while punching Sirius in the face. Sirius fought back and punched him in the nose, breaking it. The pair had begun a fist fight over the topic. "You went after Lily and plus I did nothing wrong," Sirius said while gaining the upper head in the fight. Professors rushed to break the fight up and escort the boys to Dumbeldores office where their fate at Hogwarts would be decided.

"Young love, what a curse." the headmaster spoke looking at the boys. "Now boys both of your families will be receiving a letter speaking of your behavior today, as for you two, 200 points from Gryffindor each, and 2 months worth of detention together, where you two will work out your issues along with your siblings. I sense all 4 of you need to hit one another, so as for Grace and Regulus they have to attend one of your detentions, if they don't then you both will be expelled. So brothers, go make nice to your sibling because I will be asking them who told them to come, and if they say the wrong name then you both will have 2 more weeks of detention. That's all, you're dismissed" the headmaster spoke while looking defeated. 

He knew both boys personally, what they both have been through together. He didn't know any greater friends than James and Sirius. Wherever one was you could find the other close behind. They were conjoined together but at last all good things come to an end or do they?
