Colby's pov

I was walking to my room when I heard Jade crying and mumbling something then I heard her starting to yell a name begging them to stay then I heard her yell the name again it sounded like Ava so I went into her room and saw her tossing and turning with tears running down her face 

"shit," I said to myself 

I ran over to her and started shaking her

"Jade wake up," I said

"Jade come on wake up" I said again 

"Jade wake up" I said shaking her even more 

her eyes then opened and looked at me 

"Who is Ava?" I said

"my best friend," she said

"oh ya you said that before," I said 

I pulled her into a hug and she cried even more

"shh it's okay don't worry she's okay now she's in heaven now," I said

"I know b-but I just m-miss her s-so fuc-fucken much s-she was th-there for e-everything," she  said

"I know," I said

"i-it hurts s-so much i-i watched h-her d-die and t-the n-nightmares don't g-go away w-we t-told each-each other e-everything w-we even w-watched y-you and s-sam to-together and d-dreamed of o-one day meeting y-you t-together" she said

"and look you have completed that dream and she is probably with us right now every step of the way like your guardian angle ok she is watching over you and making sure you ok and she has met us with you," I said

she nodded and wiped her tears

"Wanna come sleep in my room?" I asked

she nodded and we got up and went to my room

we got into bed and she cuddled up to me and fell straight to sleep then someone knocked on my door

"come in," I said

Sam came in and closed the door

"she ok?" he asked

"she is now she had a nightmare about the night her best friend got killed," I said

"oh shoot that's horrible is it normal for her to have them?" he asked

"I think so," I said

"shit I feel so bad for her" Sam said 

"same but there's not much we can do for her except tell her she's safe and that her best friend is in a better place now," I said

"ya true well ima going to bed now goodnight," Sam said

"ok goodnight," I said

he turned the light off and then left the room and I turned on the tv and put some music on and fell asleep 

jades pov

I woke up to the sun shining through the windows and me laying on Colby's chest while he hugged me 

I carefully got up trying not to wake colby up and then I went to my room and had a shower and got dressed into some shorts and a white crop top then I did my makeup and hair then I went downstairs and made some lucky charms then I went up to my room and turned on friends and watched it while eating, once I was done eating I put my bowl on my side table and got out my diary that I write in occasionally

dear diary,

I feel like today's going to be a good day I actually feel somewhat happy today for the first time in a while it is probably because im surrounded by people who actually care about me and are willing to do whatever it takes to help me or well I think I am I probably shouldn't trust them this much due to me only meeting them in person a couple of days ago but they seem like genuinely nice people which is hard to find these days last night I had a nightmare and I guess I was yelling because colby came into my room and woke me up and he looked really concerned and I ended up sleeping in his bed with him and for some reason, it actually helps me i guess the reason is because i feel safe around him more then i have ever felt
