"Kookie, baby, rest for a while. You've strained yourself so much today..." Tae said, his voice filled with concern, as he lovingly brushed Kookie's hair.
"Rest??? That's what I've been doing all day... I can't stand it here, hyung. Take me somewhere else. This city is overflowing with busy people who don't care about others. Who could do such a thing? Heartless...! I hate this city, I really do..." Kookie lamented.
"But, Kookie, all your favorite people are here.... do yo wanna leave them??" Tae reminded him.
"True, but I just want to take my family and my friends, along with Bam, and fly out of this city to a peaceful village where this 'Won' won't find us" Kookie sighed.
"How do you know it's her?" Tae asked.
"Isn't it obvious?"
"Let's not jump to conclusions. I have many enemies here. It could be anyone, which is why we have so many guards," Tae said, trying to reassure Kookie.
"Someone is trying to protect that 'Won,' I guess," Kookie sighed, clearly disappointed with Tae's vague response. He could see in Tae's eyes that he is hiding something.
"Don't you trust me, baby?" Tae asked, a note of concern in his voice.
"I trust you, but I know you're well aware of this situation and the reasons. What I don't understand is why you're trying to hide it....?? " Kookie said, his frustration evident.
"I have my reasons," Tae said, his tone firm. He seemed engrossed in his laptop, attaching many pictures to an email with the subject 'Your Tae Tae.' When Kookie tried to sneak a peek, Tae shut the laptop abruptly.
"Ex-girlfriend?!" Kookie asked teasingly, trying to break the tension. He didn't want to be kept in the dark, but Tae's response puzzled him.
"Yeah! It's nice to know that my life partner has zero trust in me when I trust him more than anything," Tae replied, sounding genuinely concerned.
"I trust you, hyung, more than I trust myself. But I can't even imagine anyone else catching me in a compromising situation like that. It's just different.... im feeling disgusting..." Kookie confessed, tears welling up in his eyes. He leaned on Tae's lap, seeking comfort.
"Baby, it's just you that matters to me. I wouldn't believe anyone's words, even if they had caught you in that situation. I only trust you... so.... Why are you so worried now?" Tae reassured him.
"Words would have spread, Tae hyung!!!. Your reputation, your family name, and our baby... Oh my God, thank goodness it's you who came. But I still don't understand why you're being patient with her. I'm worried if anyone else is involved," Kookie expressed his concerns. That time something sparked in Tae's mind..
What if there is any pictures or videos taken..?? Omg!!
"This is it, Kookie. I won't let anyone else come near you. I'm playing it defensively for our child. We can't risk it, but you'll get your answers in the future..." Tae said, emphasizing his determination.
"I trust you, hyung," Kookie reiterated.
"Finally!" Tae sighed in relief. "By the way, that email is kind of official, to my childhood mentor and my dad's close friend from university. She always calls me Tae Tae."
"Oh, the 'ajhuma'?" Kookie responded, letting out a relieved sigh.
"You won't say that when you see her... Hey, I thought you trusted me. No hope left !" Tae chuckled.

.Taehyung instructed Kookie and Jay not to share anything about what happened in that home with anyone. They acted as if it was merely an accident, casually going to the mansion after animal control captured the dogs with tranquilizers. Tae also discreetly hid the only evidence of the gate camera, which had captured a small woman fully covered in a black hoodie, who had let the two dogs in.
