"Pull the switch! And let's end this!"
"Catra... Please, don't,"
"NO!"
"Adora..."
"Adora!"
The blonde shot up, panting and swinging. A clawed hand grab her closed fist. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! A-Adora!" The sleep finally clearing her vision, Adora slumped at the sight of her best friend. "Heh. Since when do you sleep in?" She chuckled. "Where am I? How did I get here?" She asked, looking around the empty room. Catra frowned. "Uh, you're in your room. Are you okay?" Adora cleared her throat slightly. She frowned, glancing down, frowning deeper. "I-why am I flat?" She asked. She poked her belly harshly. Solid muscles met her. Catra poked her head. "I wouldn't say flat. You've got nice abs. You sure you're ok?" The magicat asked. Adora smacked her hand away. "I... I'm fine. I was just having a weird dream," She hesitated. "There was something I needed to fix..."
Catra snorted. "Of course you dream about work. There's nothing to fix, Adora. Everything's perfect!"
Something about the sentence sent off alarm bells in her head. Adora glanced around again. "Yeah...it was just a dream..." She agreed. Catra leaped up, bounding out the door. Adora stood up and pulled her jacket on by the mirror. She turned to the side robotically. She faltered, putting her hand on her flat stomach. Flashes of a bump ran through her mind, flashes of being so sick she wanted to die, flashes of being so big she couldn't see her toes anymore.
Her vision cleared and she was alone again. "What the hell?" she mumbled.
"Adora!"
Adora sighed softly, shrugged her jacket on and ran after her friend.
The hallways were littered with Horde soldiers muttering excitedly.
"Adora!"
"It's really her!"
"It's Adora!"
"Whoo!"
"Yeah!"
"All right!"
"Yes!"
Adora saluted them back, turning to frown at Catra. "What are they all looking at?" She asked as a group of Horde cadets ran by giggling. Catra tutted. "You! The invasion of Thaymor went perfectly. You're the hero of the hour!"
"Thaymor..."
Flashes of a town in flames invaded her mind. A tall shiny lady was there too, along with a guy with arrows, a horse and a sparkly purple girl.
"Oh... yeah! I defeated the rebel insurgents at Thaymor. Yeah," She chuckled. "I did that," She pushed the thoughts aside. She'd obviously bested the shiny lady and the sparkly purple one. Catra scoffed. "Oh, please, you couldn't have done it without me," Adora jutted her eyebrows up with a smirk. "Right... What would I ever do without you?" She smiled slyly, jutting her elbow into Catra's ribs.
The magicat shrieked in laughter, stumbling away into the back of a Horde soldier. "Hey. Watch where you're going, twerp," He hissed. Catra's ears drooped. Adora cleared her throat, coming up to stand by her side with a glare. "Force Captain! I didn't know you were-- I'm so sorry," He stuttered.
Adora lifted her chin high. "You'd better be. Dismissed!" The soldier stumbled away, crying under his breath.
Adora shot a look to Catra, snorting. The magicat cackled. Adora snorted at her cackle. They fell apart laughing.
