TRIGGER WARNING:

**Mental Health, Depression and Suicided**

This song: You Are The Reason by Calum Scott just SCREAMS Gally in my opinion, especially in this chapter.

Gally

It took a few days, that first chat with Sophie and Zayn, when he first woke up took a lot of of him. The second day, he was seriously struggling to breath, he felt like he was slowly drowning, and that made him panic. Sophie was sitting beside him, and rushed to find the Doctor. She went screaming down the hall.

"DOCTOR HANS! HANS!!"

The older doctor pocked his head out of the room he was working in.

"What are you screaming for?"

Sophie skidded to a stop, panting, "The..new kid! The munnie! There's something wrong!"

Dr. Hans took off down the hall, his white lab coat flying behind him, Sophie on his heels. They burst into the room. Gally was laying on the bed, gasping for air, and cough up blood.

"It's in his lungs! Sophie, go call the nurses. He needs another surgery." He barked orders at the girl, who spun on her heel and sprinted back down the hall. While the Doctor rushed to the side of Gally's bed. Grabbing all sorts of medical devices. Gally couldn't focus on what the Doctor was doing, he was trying to breath, but it felt like he was being held under water.

They ended up having to rush Gally off into another emergency surgery. Sophie paced up and down the hall, biting her nails. Zayn leaned against the wall, his arms crossed watching her walk up and down.

"Why the sudden attachment?" He asked, "We've seen enough death...I've never seen you like this."

She paused and looked up at him, then shrugged.

"I dunno. He seems...different."

Zayn just hummed and continued to watch her pace.

Gally's eyes flicked open, he tried to groan, but there was something blocking his ability to talk.

"You are lucky to be alive young man." A gruff voice said beside him. "No, no, don't move. You have many tubes coming out all over you. And before you freak out; NO, I am not WICKED. I'm not draining you like a human juice box. I have blood going into you, not out. You were in need of a blood transfusion. You have a tube inserted right now, its assisting your one working lung. Give it time and we can remove it down to the mask and then tube."

Gally just blinked a few times at the Doctor. The Doctor had a head of salt and pepper grizzly hair, a scruffy beard, many frown wrinkles, but he had kind eyes. Gally's panic slowly eased. He felt an ache in his chest.

"We don't have as many of the fancy gadgets as a proper WICKED medical facility, so unfortunately you will have some old fashioned healing, but we did manage to keep you from drowning in your own blood, or something else. We do have some good gadgets." He chuckled.

Gally frowned, or as best he could. Confused at this Doctor, and what he said.

"I'm a defective Doctor. Used to work there...back when they had good intensions. But once they started on kids..." he trailed off, staring at a spot in the wall. He shook his head suddenly. "Anyways. Been here for about a year and a half. OH! Also, once you were stable, I went ahead and removed that control and monitoring chip from your brain. "
