"Did you tell your parents that you're at the hospital?" Larry asked me.
Realising I didn't, I slowly shaked my head while trying to avoid eye contact with him.
"Why?" He questioned as he squinted with his hands crossed under his chest.
"Uh..." I tried coming up with a reason, but nothing came to mind. I just noticed this guy really has an intimidating aura.

"Maybe she doesn't want them to worry. She might have her reason." Nicky shrugged. But Larry didn't seem that convinced but didn't press on it further.

"Alright, we'll let you rest," he said as he tapped Nicky to follow suit, and they both left the room. I relaxed and turned on my phone only to see a mountain of missed calls from my aunt. I guessed she really did call. A small smile appeared on my face, and before I knew it, my eyes shut.

*●|●*

I opened my eyes slowly as I heard a knock at the door.
"Aunt...?" I mumbled as I sat up, looking around the room.

Oh... it wasn't a dream. Sigh.

Who was knocking?
"Come in," I said as I cleared my voice to be more clear.

Nicky popped his head in first before entering completely.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I wake you?"

I shook my head as I saw him walk up to my bed. What time was it? I checked the time on my phone... it was 9. That's quite early. By the time I looked up, Larry had already entered the room. He looked like he had just come out of the gym. He was wearing a grey coloured tracksuit and was slightly sweaty, or was that water. He looked up from his phone, "Are you ready to go?"

I stared at him. How did he know I wanted to leave today? It seems like Nicky noticed and answered without me asking. "You said so yesterday."

I nodded and stiffly stood up from the bed and headed to where my box and bag were. "May I go freshin' up in the bathroom?" The words came out before I realised what I'd just asked.

Larry stared at me in confusion. I'm sure he's wondering why I asked him that. But he's not alone, I'm wondering the same thing, too.

"Sure..." he answered slowly and awkwardly.

I bent my head, and I felt my cheeks turn scarlet red. The ground can just open up and swallow me now because it seems anything can happen. I quickly took my bag pack and hurried out of the room. I'm sure even a passing fly would feel second-hand embarrassment.

Once, I was far away from the room, my pacing heart calmed down, and I steadied my steps. I took notice of how big the hospital was. After walking around and finally asking a passing nurse, I found the bathroom.

It was quite big and had little gold decorations. Since I didn't have time for full skin care, I just washed my face, brushed my teeth, and arranged my hair. To at least look presentable. I was so glad my swollen eyes had calmed down. Thank goodness.

As I tried and failed to locate my room, I met Nicky, who was with my box.
"There you are! I was looking for you," he smiled. "Let's go."

I followed him to the lobby where Larry was. "I found her!" He called out to Larry.

He smiled at Nicky before his gaze landed on me. "Where do you stay? I'll drop you off."

I tend to forget the situation I'm in. Where the heck am I? Like seriously. I was supposed to be in Germany right now, but now I'm in a random place called Lake City that I am positive does not exist on the German map. How am I supposed to start explaining this?

"You see," I started as I tried peeling my nails off my thumbs. "I'm not supposed to be here," they both tilted there head at me, and I could see the confusion evident in their eyes.

I cleared my throat and continued. "I'm supposed to be in Germany for my studies... but I don't exactly know where I am." I finished.

"Germany?" Larry mumbled. "What studies?"

"High school... there's a school I should currently be enrolled in..." I paused, trying to remember the name. "I think it was called 'Zukunftsweisende Akademie'?"

They stared at me dumbfounded. "It translates to Future Wise, I believe."

There was a short silence before Nicky said, "wait a minute, I know that school!"

Now I was dumbfounded. How does he know the school when he doesn't even know what Europe is?
"I don't think that's possible. The school's suppose be in Germany and not Lake City," I said confidently until a thought hit me. How do I know Lake City is not a place in Germany? Or any other part of the world?

"Then, can I show you what I'm talking about? You can decide afterwards if it's your school or not." Nicky grinned.

"Alright then," I agreed to his request.
And so we left the hospital and made our way to the school.
