Saturday. The day of the orientation. Lilley got up early, quite earlier than usual, and prepared. She didn't know why she was jumpy. Maybe it was because of the new experience she would receive or something similar to that.
On her way out, she met Lindy, who also seemed to be in good spirits, and despite her protesting against, Lindy offered to pay for her ride. She was glad, though, not fully showing it. Without Stella, she didn't know how to pay and was thinking of just walking.
I really ought to change my currency. She sighed with a smile in resignation. That should have even been the first thing I should've done! But who can blame me? Entering a new world entirely is mind-blowing as it is.By the time she arrived, it looked like she was the first one there, except for the security guards that is. The sun was still coming up, and she almost immediately regretted coming in early.
She slowly made her way through the gate and headed for the main building. Walking on the path way and glancing both sides made her think of a movie she had watched with her friends a week before their graduation. It was a slumber party to celebrate themselves, and it was also her first.
The movie was about a group of students who snuck into school for a reason she couldn't clearly recall. They were messing around when they randomly found a secret entrance in their science lab and saw a horrifying zombie like monster. One thing led to another, and it was released. They all had to survive the night with that thing hunting them down. The setting was exactly like this. And how she was walking towards the main building was similar to a character who later met her end upon opening the door. She remembered crying when her favourite character died.
She paused at the huge glass door, gulped, and slowly opened it. It was dark when suddenly-
"AHH!!!" She screamed as the lights all turned on, revealing someone as the far end."Scared ya? Sorry," the security guard teased as he whistled away.
Lilley hands were still on her chest as she tried to steady her breathing. This time, she felt her heart actually skipping a beat.
Note to self, take your time and prepare. You don't need to come this early again. Thanks to the tour Nicky and Axel gave, she was able to locate the hall with ease. She guessed they'd be doing the orientation there. That or they do it outdoors.
Come to think of it, does P.E. exist here?As she opened the door, the lights turned on, but it was empty. No soul in sight.
No Lilley, monsters don't exist- she paused. If I can go from one world to the other, who says monsters can't exist. She stared at the empty hall and nodded as if confirming her thoughts.
Yeah, I'll just wait in the class.Upon opening the door to leave, she bumped into someone. A guy.
"My bad, I'm sorry," she blinked at him, trying to remember where she've seen this face. "Are you alright?"He said nothing and just stared at her, like he was trying to figure something out. Figure her out. She stepped back a bit. "Um... are you okay?" She asked again. No reply. Instead, through what she could see from his eyes, it was like his gaze shifted. To something... familiar?
He looked away. She blinked in realisation. He was the same guy who was in her literature class. Green hair and eyes, and slightly weird? Yep, it checked out.
As she was about to say to greet him since they're in the same class and all, he apologised.
"My bad, I'm sorry." His voice was low with a ting of a surprise tone. She paused, stunned. She didn't even notice he moved past her so she could pass. She turned to him, and he was already walking away.
"It's okay?" She said, more to herself.
