*The Next Day*

"You're starting today?" Nicky asked.

"Yep..." Lilley slumped back on the chair, her fingers drumming the table.

They were currently in the canteen with a few other students. It was a few minutes before school let out for the day. Everyone was just doing their own thing, unaware that another world existed apart from theirs or that 'she' is even from another world.
It's still so weird, though, she thought as her eyes finally landed on sleeping Axel. At least she thought he was sleeping.
"Is Axel okay?" She asked Nicky.

"He's fine. He's just on energy saving mode, totally normal," Nicky replied coolly.

She glanced back at the sleeping pink haired boy in front of her. He was different. There's no denying that. The contrast between his and Nicky personality was very clear.
Can he sleep anywhere- she flinched mid-thought as he suddenly rose up.

Did he hear me? She glanced at Nicky, but he seemed unfazed. He was definitely used to that.

Axel stared out the window that was at the end of the canteen. He squinted like he was trying to find something but later gave up and yawned. Facing forward, his dark eyes met her stunned coffee brown ones.

His brows furrowed a little before regaining his previous expression.
"Lilley," he said her name as if confirming that he knew it.

"Yeah...?" She asked slowly.

"Right. Atticus should be here soon," he turned and looked at the entrance of the canteen as Nicky and Lilley followed, too.

Their curious expression soon change in a matter of seconds. While Nicky hosted a surprise one, Lilley hosted a confused one.
"Woah!" Nicky exclaimed.

What in the Lake City- she blinked, but her sight was clear. Atticus walked in and stood by the door of the canteen.

How Axel was able to predict that was another mystery to her.
Do people here have superpowers, too? Is he psychic? She eyed Axel suspiciously as she stood up.
She said her goodbyes to Axel and Nicky before calmy fast-walking to Atticus. She felt that if she walked any slower, she'll be judged with those grey eyes of his.

"Wanna go now?" Nicky turned to Axel, his smile still playing on his lips.

"It's going to rain,"

He looked out the window and then back at his friend.
"It's so clear out, though,"

"I can feel it," he gave a tired look as he got up and carried both their bags.

"So, all I have to do is sit here, right?" She stared 'round the room as it was her first time entering it. It was really artsy. Some portraits on the wall, some paint on the wall for like a design. Stools scattered around with papers everywhere and a few art supplies on the tables.

She sat on the stool on one of the long white tables in the class. The table was at least big enough for six people to use at once as there were six stools around it. Three on each side.
She wondered why the art room was different from the art class but felt Atticus won't like to entertain her question.

"Yeah, sit still and keep quiet," he replied while arranging his things on the table.

"That I can do," she gave a tight smile as she rotated herself in the stool.
When it came to a stop in front of him again, she asked, "How long is this gonna take?"

He paused, glanced at her, and then continued what he was doing.
"Depends," he gave her a brief answer, voice low.

She nodded as he sat down, ready to draw now.
"Alright, stay still,"
