"Well, ain't this surprising." Damon observed Leah from head to toe and smiled. "You are quite a strong lady. You know that? Just who exactly are you?"

"Excellency, I assumed she's someone from one of the top five packs," Sovereign Sabre Red responded.

"Is that so?" Damon rested a hand on his chin as he took another look at Leah, who was busy checking on Dorian's (who is now back in humanoid form) gruesome condition.

He had deep cut marks all over his exposed body. But they are not as severe as the wound to his torso. Dorian's inside was literally spilling out.

If Dorian didn't somehow manage to somewhat avoid this kid from the Emerald Ace pack's secret art, the wind blade art technique, he would be dead without a corpse. Leah concluded. But he's not out of the woods yet. Though his healing abilities have been activated, it's not enough to save him from this deadly wound. This means if Dorian stays here without treatment for too long, he will die for sure. However, she can't just leave with him and allow the enemies to get away. It will definitely bite her in the ass later.

Damn! What should she do?

"Of course, I'm not sure which of the five. But since you don't know her, it's safe to say she's not from the Emerald Ace pack." Sovereign Sabre Red continued.

"Well, I've met everyone of importance in the other top four packs, and never have I seen this old hag or heard of her." Though Leah is masking her presence like he is, Damon can sense how powerful and ancient she really is. She is even older than he was, by far. And he was over a thousand years old. He then addressed Leah. "Yo, granny, which pack are you from?"

But Leah was too occupied at the moment with thoughts on what to do in this critical moment. Save the old dog's life or kill the enemies before her. If she does the latter, then it will be at the cost of Dorian's life. And if he dies, then the pup will be sad. No, she can't allow that. Guess there is no other option, then.

"Hey you. I'm talking to you." Damon was getting a bit annoyed. If there is one thing people of his status hate, it is being ignored. And especially by those they deem to be inferior. "You know, it's rude to ignore someone when they are talking to you." He attacked Leah, who was gearing up to leave with Dorian. Of course, she successfully avoids his strike with her spirit step. She then counterattacked with her spirit fist, which Damon managed to block, but he was forced back by a few steps. "Ah, I see. You are from the White Clover pack. And judging from your aura implanted in the techniques you used just now, you're not just any regular member. You are from the royal family. The true royal family that is."

"And what about it?" Leah knew using her martial skills was going to expose her identity. However, if she hadn't, then that kid attack just now would have caused her some serious damage. After all, this pup's martial art skill is on par with hers. They are both top-tier skills.

"Nothing really. I'm just shocked that there is still someone like you alive in today's world. Truly, I am." Damon smirked. "Just wait until I tell Grandfather and the other higher up about this. They will be very surprised, as I am right now."

"Too bad, you'll be dead before that happens." Leah exchanged multiple blows with Damon. She has now decided to quickly kill this arrogant brat, then rush the old dog to the hospital immediately after. You know, kill two birds with one stone. But it wasn't as easy as she hoped.

At the start of their battle, the two seemed evenly matched when it came to speed. In terms of strength, however, Leah is way superior. Every time her fists managed to make contact with Damon, it would push him a few steps back. But what's the point of that if she can't kill him with ease? This is just a waste of time. She might as well get Dorian out of here. However, when she tried to do so,

"You must have a death wish, letting your guard down while facing this sovereign." Damon prevented her from running off with that half-dead piece of trash from the Azure Pack. And since she's seemed hell-bent on trying to keep him alive, why not exploit her weakness a bit? Note: Damon is fully aware that he won't be able to kill someone as strong as her on his own. What he can do, though, is keep her here long enough until that mutt (Dorian) kicks the bucket. If he could achieve this, then it would be his victory.

Leah, of course, figured out what this wretched brat was scheming. But right now, she's helpless. If she lets her guards down even for a second or turns her back on this enemy, this wicked brat won't miss the opportunity to kill her. She has no choice but to go all out then—to crush him.

"Damn, you are strong despite being distracted with that half-dead piece of trash." Damon whined as he rubbed his now bruised arms. They hurt from all her powerful blows just now. The spirit art is truly dangerous. And if it weren't for his wind blade technique aura coat taking most of the damage, he would have died long ago, for sure. "You're truly a grand master of the spirit art as well. Man, I can barely keep up with your strikes now. Truly amazing." Again, Leah attacked him, and Damon managed to evade many of her strikes. He then blocked her fist cloaked in aura, and it sent him flying. The force from this blow also broke a few of his ribs and ruptured his organs. There was even blood at the corner of his mouth. "Alright, this was fun, but I've had enough of this." After all, he's accomplished his goal. With all the time this old hag wasted fighting him, he's sure that Mutt will succumb to his injury. "If you want to kill me, you will have to catch me first, old hag."

By the time, Leah tried to get the brat with another powerful blow to finish him off. Damon had already left with sovereign Sabre Red and Danica. As you know already, Leah is by far stronger than Damon in combat. However, even with her incredible speed, she can't match his wind blade art-escaping moving technique—light speed. Therefore, it would be pointless for her to chase after this kid.

Sh*t! This is not good. Leah is sure that Brat will be showing up here again with backup. People who are even stronger than he is. She also felt angry that she didn't get the chance to kill that brat, Danica, and her damn father.

Ugh, she guessed a war is inevitable.

Leah gently picked up Dorian, who now had a very faint heartbeat, and quickly fled to the hospital. There, she left him in the care of the healers. And she hopes they are able to help him recover for that pup's sake.
