So after witnessing the gruesome death of Daniel, the surviving warriors of the Emerald Ace and White Clover army have lost all their wits to fight. And as a result, a large number of warriors were slaughtered by Kazan and company.

Damon, who was in a sour mood because of the sad yet unexpected outcome, had no other option but to signal the army to retreat. Of course, he lost a few hundred thousand warriors in the process, but the important thing is that Damon, the army commander, managed to get to safety along with another several hundred thousand warriors.

And with that, this battle had come to an end, with the victor being Kazan's team. Afterwards, Silvio gathered his generals and other high-ranking officials to plan strategies on how to deal with the next wave of attack from the enemy. As for Kazan and Leah, they left to go do what they do best, satisfying their carnal urges.

"That was awesome, babe!" The breathless and exhausted Kazan fell on the bed next to Leah.

"I don't know. I think you could have done a little better," Leah teased as she tried to catch her breath.

"I would have put more effort into it, but I don't want to harm our little one," Kazan responded.

"That's just a weak excuse for your lame performance," Leah snorted.

"Lame?" Kazan looked at her with a furrowed brow. He then grinned and said, "If that were the case, then you wouldn't be tearing into my flesh and hollering my name for hours."

"Did I, really?" Leah played dumb. "You must be hearing things, because I can't recall that."

"Then I guess I have to teach you a lesson you will never forget." Kazan swiftly got on top of her, kissing her face and neck. Then one thing led to another. And before you knew it, the two were engaged in a heated moment of passion again. This, of course, lasted for a few hours this time.

"Ok, you did a little better this time around," Leah panted, laying against Kazan's chest.

"Don't tempt me," Kazan growled.

"Alright, you did excellent, pup," Leah said with a smile while her delicate hands rubbed his stomach.

"Good girl," Kazan said, kissing her head and caressing her legs that were resting across his lower half.

There were a few minutes of silence before Leah decided to get out of bed. She wanted to go see Silvio and have a chat with him regarding the war against two members of the top five packs. Though they got lucky today, Leah knew very well that the next battle wouldn't be as easy. Maybe this time one of those big shots will show up. However, before Leah could get out of bed fully, Kazan pulled her back down and tightly hugged her. He then lowered his head to kiss her stomach before placing his ears on it, listening for his kid's heartbeat.

"What are you doing?" Leah couldn't help but laugh at his actions.

"What does it look like?" Kazan replied. "I'm checking up on my boy to see if he's doing well."

Though it would take two and a half to three months before humans could determine the gender of a child via ultrasound, that's how long it takes a lycan mother to give birth. So even though Leah has been pregnant for less than two weeks, her child has already been formed from the fifth day of pregnancy. As for how they could tell his gender without magic equipment, like normal lycans do, it is due to their strong bloodlines and bond.

Leah rolled her eyes and then she smiled. "Our boy is alright."

"I can't wait for you to be born, my little prince," Kazan said, rubbing Leah's stomach as if it were his most precious treasure. "So I can knock up your mother again and extend our family."

"You do know the next time you knock me up, as you put it. There is a possibility it will be Nathaniel in my stomach," Leah teased. But after analyzing what she said just now, she couldn't help but feel a bit grossed out.

"Ugh, why did you have to bring him up?" Kazan groaned. It's not that he forgot about that. It was locked somewhere in the back of his mind. Until she brought it up. He also didn't like the statement about Nathaniel in her stomach. That sounds so wrong on many levels. "Now I feel so disgusted and wrong. I mean, what if doing the deed just now triggered his birth process?"

"I'm already pregnant, so I doubt that's the case. At least I hope so," Leah said dubiously.

"Nathaniel is a tricky bastard, so who knows?" Kazan said. "He might have done something that made it possible for a pregnant person to get pregnant."

"You are overthinking things as usual," Leah chortled at Kazan's silly statement. "But then again, Nathaniel is an ancient caster. So it might be possible."

"Ok. Let's not discuss this any further." Kazan knew she was only messing with him, so he put an end to that conversation. Besides, he needs to relay something important to her.

So, as you already know, Nathaniel had transferred all his powers and knowledge to Kazan. However, this man's knowledge is so great that Kazan, with his limited mental capacity, was unable to access it all at once. If he did so, his head might just explode. Therefore, he has to slowly decipher and process this knowledge, though it gives him a slight headache when doing so, before he can make use of it. That is what he did in the battle he won against Daniel earlier.

The point is, Kazan stumbled on something in Nathaniel's mental manual earlier that might aid him greatly in this war. In fact, if this method turns out to be successful, they will be able to deter their enemies from harassing them in the future. And over time, they might surpass the abilities of the five top packs. "I have a way that can help us put an end to this war, but I will need your assistance."

"Really?" Leah was surprised by this. "How?"

"According to the knowledge Nathaniel left in my head, the Violet Swan Pack had a secret bloodline technique called fusion. If we who possess the Violet Swan bloodlines initiate this technique, it will grant us enormous powers. It will also increase the strength of those under our command. In other words, my Azure pack and Silvio's army strength will increase to a level that even the top five packs cannot so easily walk over," Kazan replied.

"It does sound like a good plan. But is there a side effect to this?"

"I'm just a reconstructed lycan of the Violet Swan pack, so this technique will drain my life force severely, maybe to the point of death regardless of how strong my vessel is." Kazan then added before Leah could get a word in, "However, because of your claim on me, I am able to borrow your true strength. And because of that, I will be able to survive the side effect."

"Ok." Leah looked a bit worried, but she trusted Kazan wouldn't do anything stupid that would cost his life. At least she hoped not. "But if you have this technique, why didn't you use it earlier, before the war?"

"One, I wasn't aware of this until the battle earlier. And two, we need a solar eclipse to initiate this technique," Kazan answered. "And according to Nathaniel's manual, there will be one in the next two days. So all we need to do is hold off all the enemies till then."

Leah was about to voice whatever doubt she was having, but Kazan kissed her, and all her uneasiness just magically vanished. He then led her to the shower, where they enjoyed themselves before falling to sleep in each other's embrace in his room.
