There were sounds of bones cracking as Damari underwent transformation. Then, within a few seconds, he became a fifteen-foot-tall wolf with white fur, a large emerald ace symbol branded to his right side, and another small emerald ace on his forehead. And when he roared, it stirred up a windstorm and caused the broken buildings in the surroundings to tremble.
Of course, Kazan also underwent transformation. However, the form he took on was not what he had expected. In fact, it was different from his past or any average Lycan transformation. Oddly, he retained his humanoid form. His hair became violet, the same as his glowing eyes, and he was encased in the huge head of a fifteen-foot-tall wolf that was created from his violet aura.
With speed beyond what the human eye can comprehend, Kazan, who is puppeteering the wolf-shaped aura, charged at Damari, who was also coming towards him. The two collided, and the force was so great that it caused the atmosphere to go wild. It was like an earthquake and a hurricane occurring at the same time.
Silvio and his twenty generals, along with Damari's nineteen comrades, who were also engaged in intense battle, had to shield and steel their bodies so they wouldn't get blown away like leaves in the wind or get injured from the powerful force of energy released from the violent clash.
Again, Kazan and Damari sprint towards each other, exchanging several hundred mighty blows. And thankfully, Kazan Wolf's aura was not only strong in offense, but it was also a powerful defense mechanism. It protected him from sixty percent of the damage caused by Damari's wind blade art.
Damari, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky. He was not only badly wounded physically but also spiritually, despite the strong aura shield of his technique. Well, if it weren't for the shield taking twenty-five percent of the damage, he would probably pass out or die in this violent brawl.
You see, all of Kazan's aura wolf strikes and bites were imbued with magic, the spirit art, and the violet lightning ice art, hence why Damari got damaged this badly. And if he continues to get hit by these powerful strikes, he will lose his life.
Damari thought that he would be able to kill Kazan in a one-on-one battle, even if the kid possessed Nathaniel's powers. Powers, he assumed, was unstable due to the pup's being a counterfeit of the Violet Swan bloodline. Not to mention, Damari is fully aware that the more the pup uses Nathaniel's powers, the more his life force and body deteriorate. Therefore, it was impossible for him to lose.
It turns out that's not the case. Damari never anticipated that this pup would be this durable—this strong.
This is why he decided to call on the assistance of his nineteen comrades, who are still fighting with Silvio and his generals, to take out the kid in one go.
Some minutes later, Damari's nineteen comrades managed to force their opponents a few miles back and quickly encircle Kazan and Damari, who were throwing multiple blows at each other at the speed of light. They then create and activate one of their packs most sacred and powerful attack formations, the wind blade-lightening decimation art.
Silvio and his generals, with great speed, tried to interrupt the deadly formation, thus protecting Kazan from harm, but it was already too late. The enemies had already unleashed their attack, and it was already within range to hit the target, Kazan.
Damari, of course, being from the Emerald Ace Pack royal bloodline, is safe from this formation despite being in close proximity to Kazan. That is why his comrades attack Kazan without any consideration for him.
A few milliseconds before Kazan got bombarded by numerous powerful green lightning bolts that were capable of reducing a nation to nothingness, much less him, he forcefully drew on even more of Nathaniel's power to cast an ultimate magic skill that first allowed him to absorb the lightning like an electrical conductor. This, of course, caused him great pain; he even spat up some blood, but he managed to endure it. He then amplified the lightning bolts times five before returning them to them.
Damari and his nineteen comrades, who were still shocked that Kazan was still alive after taking their blow, wanted to flee. However, there was not enough time for them to do so. The only thing they could do was focus all their energy on defense and brace themselves for the attack.
The moment these upper echelons of the Emerald Ace pack got struck by the violent lightning bolts, their organs turned goo, and their bones and spirits shattered. They were also sent flying in different directions, like kites popping from their strings. Some of them died even.
As for Kazan, he was in very critical condition. He was coughing up and crying blood. His bones felt like they were on fire, and his body ached all over. The aura-shaped wolf surrounding him was barely visible, and his glowing hair and eyes were dimmed a little. Nonetheless, he still forcefully kept his awakened state in case his magic trick just now didn't kill the enemies or at least knock them unconscious. And just as he fears, around ten of the enemies, including Damari, are still alive. This just shows how monstrous the relics of these top packs truly are.
Damari, who is now in human form, along with his eight surving comrades, who seemed unaffected by the attack just now but really were a mess physically and spiritually, appeared back at the battle area, glaring at Silvio and his generals, who now stood next to Kazan.
After witnessing and experiencing Kazan's capabilities firsthand, Damari is more determined than ever to kill this pup. In fact, it would be an easy feat for him and his nine remaining companions to do so now since the pup seems to be in a very life-threatening situation.
Unfortunately, Silvio and his generals, who suffered minor damage from the force of Kazan's attack earlier, won't standby and let them have their hearts desire. It's annoying, but he has to leave here without claiming the pup's head as a trophy. But no matter. There will be another opportunity to kill this pup in the foreseeable future. Right now he needs to inform the Supreme and other higher-ups of the Emerald Ace Pack about what he learned today. The looming danger.
"This is not over, pup." Damari clenched his fist and gnashed his teeth before leaving with his followers.
