Maybe Meant To Be

~Chapter 20~

While looking around, I finally went over to my berth and crouched down, grabbing some items I had been trying with. Maybe I could make something with this? Or maybe use them to unlock the door?

I've never done something like this before so... I mean, usually Megatron would soon enough give in and let me out. Or Knockout or another mech would pity me and let me out.

I was in the middle of fixing up a laser I had when the door was knocked on. I quickly slid the laser back under my berth and ran to the door.

"Who is it?"

"Food," was the simple reply I heard.

Click.

The door opened and the vehicon set a silver tray down with energon and some sweets on it.

"Lord Megatron said to eat it all." And with that, he closed the door and re-locked it.

"Hmph... I feel like a PRISONER. In my OWN BERTHROOM." I knew someone might hear and relay what I just said to my "dear" brother. Or maybe even a certain TIC.

I looked around again. That laser is not going to work... Besides, if Megatron finds out, he'll take it away. I walked over to my window and sighed, looking out. How am I supposed to get out?

"Oh my Primus! I'm so stupid!" I laughed to myself. The window, of course! I could figure out a way to open and close it, then I wouldn't have to worry about Megatron finding out right away! I searched around before I found a handle that opened the window. It was just big enough for me to climb out.

I fell through the window, and quickly transformed before I could fall any further.

I landed on a cliff, looking down at the view.

"This should be a good spot..." I got a sudden message that I was getting a ground bridge. The bridge then opened up and I quickly walked inside.

"Look! It's Y/D!" The human femme yelled out excitedly. "Finally you've come to visit! Now we can finally get out and do some stuff!"
"Miko..."
"Oh c'mon Bulk! Now we can also show Y/D what 'fun' really is!"

"Ah well... I was actually here to talk to-"
"C'mon! We should go for a drive or something! I mean, obviously you would fly but-"

"Hey, that's not fair. Some of us want to get to know Y/D too y'know." The older mechling Jack, said.
"Well I called hanging out with her first!"

"Alright, so here's how it will go! Bulkhead and I get Y/D all to ourselves today, and then next time Y/D visits, Jack and Arcee can hang with her!" Miko said with a smile.
"Then let me guess, Raf and Bumblebee the next day?" Jack asked.
"Yep!"

"So uh... I was going to be informed of this plan when-?" I asked to no one in particular, standing over by Ratchet's workstation.
"Pay no attention to the young femme. She's always like that." Ratchet said with almost tired and annoyed sigh.
"I mean, I don't mind getting to know everyone. But I did come here to talk to Optimus... Speaking of him, where is he?" I looked around the base, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Ah yes well... He had some sudden business to take care of. He also asked me to tell you he was sorry for his sudden leave."

"Oh... Well, that's alright. Guess I have time to spare with the humans after all~!" I chuckled and went over to the humans their guardians.
