Maybe Meant To Be

~Chapter 10~

I still haven't found the information but, I've been sorta... ok I wouldn't call it stalking- But I've been following Starscream around. He's still nervous, but he's bound to slip up and tell me what I'm wanting to hear.

"Oh Starscream~" you walked up to him with an innocent smile and he jumped and backed away.
"Will you leave me alone?!"
"I. Want. Information. Now. Please and thank youuu~!"

"Look, I don't know what you're talking about, so ask your brother if you'd really like to know!"
I was getting frustrated with no one telling me, and even the one I thought would slip up, hasn't.

It's time to get some information from the other side. Here, I will only hear the same story. That the bots are the bad guys.

I snuck out onto the flight desk and looked around once more before leaving. I wanted answers. And I know my brother def won't give them.

Now at the pond I first was lost at, I stood there and smiled.
"I'm glad I'm here in the morning... it looks pretty now that I'm not freaking out about being lost-" I chuckled and sat down besides the water.

If I knew one thing, it was that whenever I came to Earth, Optimus came and visited! It's always nice to see him... his eyes are so pretty! They look like the most beautiful bodies of water I've only seen in pictures! And his voice- don't get me started on his voice- Oh wait- what am I going on about- Ahem-

Anywaysssss-

I wasn't wrong about him showing up, because about 30 minutes of resting besides the pond with my optics closed, the autobot ground bridge opened up besides me. I opened one optic and slightly tilted my helm so I could watch the tall mech walk through. His alt colors fit him so well! Primus he's such a handsome mech-

My faceplates flushed a light blue so I quickly turned my helm away so Optimus wouldn't see once he got close enough. Why am I suddenly thinking things like this?! Focus Y/D... you're on a... a mission! Yes, I'm on a mission for the truth.

"What's a young femme like yourself doing out here alone?" Optimus said with a deep chuckle as he sat down besides me.
"What? You think I can't handle myself?" I gave him a playful glare, facing him now that my faceplates color was normal again.
"Hm... maybe..."

I scoffed at him and then tackled him.
"How very dare you-! Of course I can handle myself just fine!" I poured and stared down at him. "Besides," I chuckle," you're the one who let down your guard-" My optics widened when he suddenly had the position turned around where he was on top of me. When did he-?! More importantly...

My faceplates are heating up again!

(Optimus POV)

"Besides," she chuckled," you're the one who let down your guard-" I slightly smirked to myself and then turned us over so I was on top of her instead. I noticed her faceplates turned blue, and at that point, I could feel my own starting to follow.
"About letting down your guard..." I started and she pouted at me. Cute...

"I let you do that y'know!"
"Right..." I got up and held out a servo to her, and she refused. "Alright... looks like it's the hard way for you then." I saw Y/D give me a confused look before I reached down and grabbed her smaller frame, now holding her in bridal style.

"H-Hey..! I can walk ya big meany-" I only chuckles at her statement.
"Oh well... if you say so-"
"W-Wait- You can keep carrying me- I don't want to walk now-"
I chuckled and continued walking with Y/D in my arms until we reached a cliff with a beautiful forest scenery.

I set her down, and then sat besides her.
"So... was there a reason you came to Earth this time?"
"Well... yes... I actually needed to talk to you about something."
"And what would that be?"
"I... I want to know about the war... my brother says the same thing over and over but... I want to know the Autobots side of the story as well."

I nodded with understanding before looking back out at the scenery.
"Well... In case of being interrupted, we should do this back at base."
"Ah... I don't have enough time for visiting right now... I've been here too long... I can't have my brother finding out about us meeting up." The femme turned, looking at me.

"Hm..."
"Oh! But now, maybe I could have your comm link and we could plan a different day for me to come over and talk?"

(Y/D's POV)

Ok I know the link isn't for me JUST to plan a date- I mean day to go over- I would finally have his link! Ahem... back to the task at hand-

Optimus seemed to think for a few seconds before nodding his helm and giving me his private comm link so his other team members wouldn't hear their conversations or anything.
"Thank you Optimus. I should get going... I'll talk to you later?" I looked up at the larger bot.

"I look forward to it."
