Maybe Meant To Be

~Late New Year Special~

Hello everyone! Sooo, this is late, very, late. BUT! I hope you will still enjoy this- Wait where is- I see the bots and cons over there so... Perhaps you can join them? I think they're getting ready for the New Year's Countdown!

"So... You're saying that you humans are going to explode the sky?" Y/D asks the young humans sitting besides her on the ledge of the cliff she's sitting on.
"We're not exploding the sky, but there's going to be explosions in the sky." Jack explained as best he could.
"Yeah, and it'll be epic! There's so many different colored fireworks and stuff! You'll love this Y/D!" Miko said excitedly.
"It looks like we've got about three more minutes!" Raf said, looking at his computer, then back up at the Con leader's sister and his other fellow humans.

"Three minutes?! Ok, great! Where is Optimus?!" Miko shouted, suddenly standing up and looking around.
"Uh... I think I saw him last talking to Ratchet..?"
"Ok then... Y/D!!! You're up!" The girl quickly 'pushed' the femme towards the direction of the base entrance. "Get in there and get Optimus out to watch fireworks with us! And just like we rehearsed!"

Y/D entered the base, seeing Ratchet standing at the computer.
"Hey Ratchet..! So... Where is everyone? Aren't they going to watch the fireworks as well..?"
"They're getting some extra energon, but they should be here... Now."

The ground bridge suddenly opened up, and in drove the other bots, but without their brave leader.

"Hey, Y/D! You ready to see some lights?"
:- C'mon Y/D! We don't want to miss them!-:
"Bumblebee's right, we've only got about a minute left!"

The bots left the base, and Y/D could only follow them sadly.
Where is Optimus..! He's nowhere to be found! Did everyone just, forget about him?

Y/D walked out to see everyone standing and staring at the sky, but also counting down "10! 9! 8! ..."

Sighing, the femme let the others count, while she stared at the sky.  I wanted Optimus to be the first one I said Happy New Year to...

Suddenly, at the count of five, Y/D felt a gentle tap of a digit on her shoulder plate, and turning, she was met faceplate to faceplate with-

"Optimus?"

The Prime gave the femme a gentle smile before suddenly pulling her in, and once the count was at one, he closed the gap between the two. His arms around her smaller/shorter frame, and his dermas on hers.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!"

"Happy New Year, Y/D."

"Happy New Year, Optimus."

And there's a short Special with the Bots~! And may this year be filled with even more happiness, and hopefully I can continue to get some chapters out, because I refuse to let this book die.
