Maybe Meant To Be

~Special~

So, I'm giving this special in an early celebration of my birthday which is on Tuesday, or November 7th. (At least, Tuesday my time-) I'm writing this chapter though since I'm still working on the story ones and since I most likely won't be online to post actual chapters on my birthday. Anyways, hope you enjoy!

Chapter Info: Just spending some time with the main bot of this story (and a few others, but mostly OP-) Although, this doesn't happen in the actual story so, think of this as if it's like... A different dimension or something. Same relationships and everything, but character's have different attitudes (only a bit anyways).

"Happy birthday, Y/D!" Megatron said, bringing in a whole "cake". He made it with energon(of course), and brought it on a large metal tray. Although, I sorta hoped he didn't make it by himself- He wasn't exactly the best "baker".

"I hope you enjoy this dessert~!" He said in a singsongy voice. "And before you ask, yes. I had some help from Soundwave." He said, voice returning to normal.
"How'd you know- I mean- Thanks Megs~!" I gave a cheerful smile and Megatron playfully rolled his optica before setting the tray down and hugging me.

"Wait! Before you cut the cake!" A voice yelled and in came Knockout with a giant looking... Stick- Breakdown followed behind with a Cybertronian-sized lighter. "She needs candles! And we need to sing and she'll HAVE to make a wish!"

"Aw, you guys..!" I chuckled, watching Knockout place the sticks on the cake and Breakdown lighting them soon after. "That's sweet but uh... What's the sticks for-?" I gave a confused look. "Is this a human tradition or..."

"Precisely! They put candles on their celebration dessert, and then make a wish before blowing the fire out."
"You mean cake." Breakdown added and Knockout just rolled his optics.
"Same thing."

The guys had me make a wish and soon, I blew the candles out with a happy smile still on my faceplates. This was going to be a great birthday.

"Hello?" I answered the comm.
"Ah, Y/D. I was hoping you would be able to come over to the base? Er... If you have time of course."
"Of course I have time for my favorite bot~!" I teased, and in came Knockout and Breakdown.
"We thought we were your favorite bots?!"
"..."
"Y/D don't ignore us!"
"I'll be there soon then. Ok?"

A deep chuckle could be heard before a reply.
"Alright."

"Y/DDDDD-" The cherry red mech whined. "Have you been lying to me?! Have all our earth-hours meant nothing to you?!"
"Oh goodness... C'mon Knockout. I love you sooooo much! You and Breakdown are my best friends! But, I wanna get out and go hang out with-"

"I knew it. My sister has a special mech already." Megatron entered the room suddenly. "Tell me: what's his name?"

"Uh..." I started and then sighed. "Look, can we maybe talk about this later? I really need to get going."
"... No servo holding, no cuddling, no kissi-"
"ALRIGHT THANKS BYE-" I quickly left the room before my silver brother could say anything else.

"Hey- ..." Entering the ground bridge, I was met with a dark base. "Uhm... Optimus..? Ratchet? Anyone..?"

"SURPRISE!"

The lights suddenly turned on and everyone had gifts and a smile present on their faceplates.

"... For me? You guys didn't have to..!" I chuckled and Miko laughed.
"Of course we had to! You're our friend!"
"Yeah, after Miko told us that your birthday was today and how the humans celebrate one's special day, we decided to have a surprise party for you." Said Bulkhead.
:- Yeah! We wanted to also make sure you know how special you are to us!-: Bumblebee added.

"You guys..! This is so sweet!" I smiled as we all had a group hug, carefully since the humans were there as well.

"I'm glad Ratchet was able to help us sneak out..." I chuckled, resting my helm on Optimus' shoulderplate.
"I am also glad... Or else we would still be stuck in the base and we wouldn't be able to spend time together like this."

I ended up telling Optimus how Megatron made me an energon cake and Knockout and Breakdown had me blow out some candles.

"So... What did you wish for then?"
"You realize if I told you, the wish won't come true?"
"Oh..."
"But~, since my wish has already come true, I can tell you."

I slightly tilted my helm to look at Optimus, and he was already looking at me. A blank expression only told me he was asking what the wish was.
"Well, I wished that I would be able to come and spend time with the one who always makes me happy, even when I might feel sad. The one who never fails to make me smile."

It took him a moment before he smiled and kissed my forehelm.
"I love you, Y/D."
"I love you too Optimus."

Extra (3rd POV):

"What do you mean she's with Optimus Prime?! That's her-"
"Uh... I have to go and uh... Experiment on... Things-" Knockout quickly left and Breakdown cleared his throat.
"I must go and help him-"

"Y/D. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!" The voice rang into your audio receptors and you quickly had to turn them down.

Yep. You regret answering the comm link now. But then, Optimus reached up to your audial fin and pressed the end button on the link.

"We'll deal with him later. For now..." He then wrapped his arms around your waist and brought you closer to him to cuddle. "I fought hard to have you all to myself... I'm not letting you go just yet."
