Maybe Meant To Be

~Chapter 31~

It has been a few weeks. Wheeljack finally left, claiming he wanted to explore again. But you knew it was also cuz he had been getting into too much trouble. So all has been calm with Optimus and his attitude of jealousy.
But of course, there was still the matter of Megatron and the Decepticons.

"Hello darling~! I'm sure you would like the tea of the ship, yes?"
"I mean, I'm always up for talking tea with you Knockout." I chuckled as Knockout went on about everything I've missed while gone and with the Autobots.
"I see I've missed plenty... Sorta a shame."
"... You could always come back?"
"I..."
"I mean, you obviously don't have to if you don't want to, but... I've missed you here Y/D. And your brother has especially missed you."
"..."

Somebot was listening from the opened door. Y/D paid no attention though as she didn't notice.

What do you mean go back? She wants to go back? Should I tell Optimus? Ugh... I shouldn't have been listening in...

"I can't go back right now... I've discovered so much here! ... But I miss you and Megatron too. And you will always be my friend K.O. ... I'll talk to you later, alright? Stay safe."
"I will. That same statement goes to you too."

The next day, an escape pod was shown on the radar, and Optimus had everyone go to see it. Other than Ratchet, but he ended up coming later. It was a Decepticon escape pod, but an Autobot was somehow inside! Arcee seemed to think he was a bit reckless, but you were just excited to meet another new friend!

"So your name is Smokescreen? I like that name!" You said once back at base.
"Thanks! I'm pretty hyped up to be here! And with the Optimus Prime!"

Miko asked Smokescreen several questions, to which he just sorta ignored them.

"So these are the organic life forms we have to protect?"

You sorta just shrugged it off and went to your berthroom, but the last you heard was Miko volunteer off Jack to give Smokescreen a tour of the base.

(Some time skipping a bit to like, probably a few episodes after, because I have plans 😇 I also want to speed the story up a teensy tiny bit more, which means I will be altering the original TFP timeline just a bit)

"Smokescreen is gone?! W-What do we do! How do we get him back!" You didn't know much about keys being needed, or even the omega lock, but you did know that your friend was taken.
"Calm down Y/D. We will get Smokescreen back once we have a plan in mind. We can't just storm the place, and we would have to find the ship too."
"But-"
"Ratchet is right, Y/D." Optimus' voice cut in. "We need a plan of action before we can act."

I mean, it's not like Megatron would hurt him, right? ... I hope not...

"Who knows what Lord Buckethead will do to the destined one." Arcee said with a slightly mocking tone.

He wouldn't do anything... Maybe I should go and make sure. Megatron said I could go back if I ever needed to...

Flying out to the field you had always met Optimus in, you sat out in the flowers and picked a few. A flower crown or two will soften them more for sure. You made sure to turn off your location so the Autobots wouldn't find you, then opening a comm link you hadn't opened in a while, you smiled and spoke.

"Hey Sounds!" You could hear the mixture of different recordings play through your audio receptor.
"Are you... All... Right, Y/D?"
"Yeah I just... I really miss being up in the skies with you, Megatron, and Knockout... Could I maybe come back?"

(At the Nemesis)

"... Could I maybe come back?"

Soundwave played the recording for Megatron, and he nodded.
"Make sure she's alone though... Who knows how much those Autobots have corrupted her sweet innocent spark... Who knows how many lies they've told her."

Soundwave nodded, then opened a ground portal to your location.

Stepping through, Soundwave looked around cautiously,before fully approaching you. You turned your helm to look up at the silent mech.
"Soundy~!" You quickly stood up and dusted some dirt off of your plates before giving Soundwave a hug. "Thanks for coming to get me!"
A silent helm nod was all you received. Soundwave stood there for a few minutes, probably checking if you had any unknown devices or anything on you, before letting you lead him through the portal.

Once through, you were met with a pair of red optics.

"Hey Megsy~! Missed me?"

Extra(not an actual part of the chapter, or the next-):

"Hey Megsy~! Missed me?"

You were greeted with silence, until another pair of red optics peeped out from behind your brother.

"Well I sure did!"

You almost fell to the metal floor because of the impact of the hug you received.

"Took you long enough!"

"Missed you too, KO-"

"Come, I've got tea and energon~! We've got much to catch up on darling~!"

You were led away and out of sight, with Knockout just pulling you away excitedly.
