Maybe Meant To Be

~Chapter 32~

(Y/D's POV)

"Hey Megsy~! Missed me~?" A playful smile fell onto my dermas as I stared into my brothers optics. But before another word could be said, Megatron embraced me in his arms. He then pulled back after a few seconds and gently flicked me with his digits.
"Of course I missed you shorty."
"Oh c'mon! For the last time, I'm not short!" I playfully elbowed my brother back, who returned the gesture with a happy smile. "So, what all have I missed? Anything exciting?"

I'd better be careful about what I tell him... Especially about where I've been... He can't find the bots location or anything. If I can get info from Megatron though, I can help Optimus and the others out.

"Well... We are coming closer to being able to restore Cybertron."
"Really?!" I vented dreamily. "I haven't been there in eons! How amazing it would be to to back!"

I know that my brother wasn't always calm and collected, but I do know that he always tried. When he was around me, he tried. And to be honest, I actually did miss him. But... I'm just not fully willing to accept that my brother is a... A monster. But the signs have been all around.

"Did I hear she's back?!"

I looked over when my audials picked up the sound of the sliding metal door.

"Oh thank Primus!"

I was engulfed once again in another hug.

"You're back Y/D!"

I chuckled.

"Nice to see you again too Knockout."

When we pulled apart, Megatron took me by the servo.

"Come Y/D. I have a surprise for you."

"Whattttt??? No way-! Megs..! You... You didn't have to!" I gaped at the new gigantic room given to me. I lightly skipped in, staring at all he decor and looking out the giant window there was. The view from here was magnificent!
"Well, I thought that... In case you ever decided to come back, that I would let you have more freedom... I... Y/D, I'm sorry."
I quickly turned my helm to look at Megatron.
"You're a growing femme, and one day, you could... As much as I hate to say his, you could find a nice mech. I won't be able to keep you forever, as much as I'd love to. But just know, you'll always be my younger sister. And your place in my spark will never be removed."

Hearing my brother say this, it lightened the burden in my spark so much, and it brought lubricant to my optics. I ran over to Megatron and hugged him, also doing my best to pick up the mech  more than twice my weight-
"Thank you..."
"Of course.... And don't even bother- You won't be able to pick me up-"
"... I mean, you never know-?"

I was now drinking energon with Knockout, and I was never more content. I mean, as much as I love the Autobots, this is my home. And for the majority of my life, it always has been. But, all the while, my spark missed a certain mech. Sometimes, my precious, but also serious mech, would pop up into my helm, and I couldn't stop myself from thinking about him.

"So... Y/D, tell me how your special love life is~ It has been too long since you told me about him."
"Oh-! Wellllll," I chuckled,"He's been... Amazing~! He's been so, so sweet andddd, I really do love him. I enjoyed every moment with him! I did... But, I missed being here. Being here with all of you."
"Well, trust me. You were missed here too. But, I'm sure you're also missing him, aren't you darling?"
"Yes..."

Knockout comfortingly patted my helm, and then gave a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll have many other moments with him."
"But... Don't you care that he's... He's on he opposite side?"
"My dear, you are one of my closest friends. I just want you to be happy. I will admit, it is a little unsettling, but... I'm happy for you."
"... What would I do without you KO?"
"I know~ It's a miracle you've survived without me for so long~"

Yeah... I really did miss this. But tomorrow... No, tonight. I need to find one of my comrades, my friend, my newest brother. Tonight would be my first time of having freedom on this ship, and I'm not about to waste that opportunity. I have to find Smokescreen.
