Gin Akutagawa POV
She's still at it?
Gosh this girls exhausting.
She's still running around with a large smile talking to her Commander as if Tachihara and Tanizaki aren't missing right now.
I cross my arms, glaring at Teruko.
She's been doing this for an hour.
An hour of time we could've been using finding them!
That Fukuchi guy is definitely trouble.
Showing up just as we were about to pull the lever? How ironic.
As if I sign from god that I was right, my phone buzzes.
Hirotsu.
I grab it quickly and answer, the name on my screen confirming my initial thought.
"Hirotsu."
I can hear him sigh from the other side of the phone.
That's not a good sign.
"Well, it's a good thing you let me know they were missing,"
Oh?
It was?
"I just didn't know what to do."
I mumble back, lowering my head.
He chuckles back at me. Before his voice turns ever so serious.
"Is she still distracted?"
I look up at the small Hunting Dog.
Yeah, definitely.
She's still running around, laughing, smiling.
How irritating!
"Yes. She definitely is."
Anger swimming through my voice.
Hirotsu can certainly tell.
"Take a breath, Gin. Have trust in Tachihara. He's going to be fine."
Trust?
What a joke.
He's right that we were like family.
But,
He still broke my trust.
He betrayed us. He was always a traitor.
How can I just ignore that?
Act like it never happened?
That's not how I do things.
Grudges suck but,
I feel it's better to have them than not.
