Chapter 5

Junichiro Tanizaki POV

Me and Naomi just got off of work and I feel really tired.

Exhausted even.

I close my eyes against my pillow, laying in my bed.

I wonder what this guy is like.

He was an undercover agent for a few years, according to Ranpo.

I'm unable to continue updating this chapter (for now)

Junichiro is lying in his bed, he and Naomi just got off of work and he feels extremely tired. 'I wonder what this guy is like...' Junichiro thinks to himself, as Naomi walks into the room, making him sit up. "What's up, Naomi?" She walks over to him and sits down. "I'm just worried about the guy you're teamed up with..." Naomi mumbles, a nervous look on her face. "I'll be fine, Naomi. There's no need to worry." Junichiro exclaim, wrapping his arms around his sister in an attempt to ease her nerves.

"I know you can handle yourself just fine... it's just.. I can't help but worry..." Naomi mumbles, clenching her fists slightly before looking at Junichiro. "I mean, only Yosano told us stuff about this guy!" She exclaims, while Junichiro puts his arms in his lap. "Wha-what if he hurts you!? He's powerful and smart, and his ability- his ability is amazing! So... so.." Naomi practically yells, before quieting down near the end of her rant. "I'm scared.."

Junichiro smiles softly and puts his arms around his sister, hugging her tightly. "Don't worry. I'll be okay, Noami.. we just have to wait, okay?" He pulls away and puts his hands on Naomi's cheeks. "Let's just trust the Presidents decision, 'kay?" Naomi nods at her brothers words and places her head on his shoulder. "I'll be just fine.." Junichiro smiles, rubbing the back of her head, slowly but surely calming her down. 'I'll be fine...' He thinks to himself before shutting his eyes.

"Big brother!" Junichiro wakes up to hearing Naomi call for him. "Yeah?..." He mumbles, silently groaning as he lays up in his bed. "We have to go! We might be late to the meet up at this point!" Naomi panics, getting Junichiro out of his bed. "Okay.. just a second, okay?" He says, while Naomi nods and walks out of the bedroom, closing the door behind her. Junichiro stands up and heads to his bathroom, quickly getting changed and ready.

Junichiro walks out of the bathroom, turning off the light as he does. Junichiro walks out of his bedroom and into the living room where Naomi was. "Ready." Junichiro says, slipping on his shoes and opening he front door, allowing Naomi to walk out first, with Junichiro right behind her as they walk over to the car and get in, beginning their drive to the meetup spot. Minutes pass, before Naomi speaks up.

"Hey, big brother?" She asks, Junichiro glancing over at her and then back at the road ahead. "Yes, Naomi?" He replies, a smile on his face. "Are you sure you'll be fine? I mean, be fine alone with a Hunting Dog?.." Junichiro quietly chuckles before nodding. "I'll be fine, Naomi. Please, stop worrying." Junichiro says, still smiling, even though Naomi wasn't the only one worrying about his predicament. Naomi sighs, looking away from her brother and ahead, still worried but decides to trust her brother.

The two Tanizaki's get out of the car, closing the doors and beginning to walk down the trail leading the meetup spot. Junichiro and Naomi continue walking for a few minutes until they see some of the fellow detective agency members. Junichiro and Naomi walk up to the President and Haruno, Rampo, Yosano, and Kunikida. Yosano notices the two and turns around, a smile on her face. "Hey you two." She greets them, as the President, Haruno and Kunikida turn and look at them.
