Chapter 6 Revealing the Truth

Hope went over to Papa Smurf's house and listened carefully to what he told Glammy, Inventor, and Hunter. It was tough to learn everything that happened, and what happened before felt more and more surprising.

Papa Smurf: Boys! Please, this is something, but what are you saying that Hope almost went into the forbidden forest that she heard a voice calling to her and saw an evil wizard coming from the cauldron?

Glammy: Yeah, Papa, but he is something else.

Inventor: And that evil wizard wanted Hope and finish what he started.

Papa Smurf: Gargamel. oh no.

Hunter: you know him? Papa.

Papa Smurf sign, and Willow agree it is time to tell the truth.

Papa Smurf: Yes. Many years ago.

Willow: But our worst enemy who wants to us smurfs for his evil magic.

Inventor: Wow, I didn't know, but what happened?

Hunter: Yeah, and why is he after Hope?

Papa Smurf: It was the day when Hope was born. Gargamel found his way into the village.

Willow: Gargamel wants to take all the smurfs until he sees Hope and decides to take her.

The boys were surprised and listened to what happened next.

Glammy: But why Hope?

Papa Smurf: To destroy her because she would stand in his way from succeeding.

Inventor: Succeeding in what?

Willow: To be the most powerful wizard that will bring chao and spend of darkness.

Hunter: Is that why he was here?

Both: Yes.

Glammy: but what happened to him?

The boys want to know what happened and something that would make sense.

Papa Smurf: All the smurfs and I stop him from completing his spell that almost harmed Hope when she was a newborn and I have to use a powerful spell and banish him from our world to get his revenge.

Glammy: wow, that is something that has never been done.

Inventor: And Gargamel will never give up.

Hunter: He may be back, but....

Willow: I know. But it would be best if you boys went back.

Willow told the boys they had to return home until she heard a knock on the door. She opened it and saw Hope surprised and heard everything.

Willow: Boys, you should go first.

The boys nodded and left. Then Hope entered the house and sat on the chair to talk to Papa Smurf and Willow.

Papa Smurf: I guess you heard everything.

Hope: Yeah... I'm sorry. I just wanted to talk to you.

Willow: It's all right. Hope they tell us everything.

Hope: Hmm... but I don't understand everything.

Feeling confused, Hope had her mind on something else.

Papa Smurf: Hope. I'm not mad at you.

Hope: I know you're not, but Gargamel knew my mom and wanted to get rid of me. How does he know her, and why is he after me?

Papa Smurf felt shocked by that question and decided to tell her.

Papa Smurf: Hope. Gargamel created your mother to trap all of the Smurfs. But your mother didn't and decided to live in the village with all of us because I saved her from being used by him and I turned her into a real smurf. And she saved all of the smurfs from Gargamel.

Hope: my mom?

Willow: Yes. She saved all of us from Gargamel.

Papa Smurf: And married your father and had you.

Hope: But he found out about me and tried to hurt me. That is why the voice told me to go to the forbidden forest.

Papa Smurf: Because you have powers.

Hope: What?

Willow: Your powers. They were stronger than ours and Gargamel's.

Hope feels very shocked and is processing everything.

Hope: My powers?

Papa Smurf: Yes Hope. The voice wants you to follow where it takes you to your purpose.

Hope: But I'm not a wizard.

Willow: No, but you have magic at this time, but it wasn't unlocked until now.

Feeling a lot to take in, Hope needed to go home and figure out everything that had happened.

Hope: This is so much I think I need to go home.

Willow: I know it's a lot, but Papa did what he could to protect you.

Papa Smurf: But the voice called to you, and you must take it.

Hope: But what about my mom and dad? I can't leave them.

Willow: You will be back sooner than you think, and they'll understand they care about you.

Hope understood now and went back home and sat on the bench, worried about what she would do. Then, Hefty notices something is wrong with his daughter. He came out of the house and sat next to her.

Hefty: Something wrong, baby girl?

Hope looks up, notices her dad is beside her, and tries to stay calm.

Hope: Well? Not really.

Hefty: Not really?

Hope told the whole story when she went to Papa Smurf's house and everything about the truth.

Hefty: Oh.

Hope: You Know About it, Dad.

Hefty: Yeah, Your mom and I were there when it happened. And your mom was scared that she almost lost you for good.

Hope: Dad, why didn't Mom tell me what happened?

Hefty: You were just a baby when it happened. Your mom and Papa knew it must be kept to protect you from the truth.

Hope: I guess they are right to protect me.

Hefty: I know baby girl and that's why we did are best to keep you safe.

She hugged her father and went to her room to rest and go to the forbidden forest in the morning.
