Chapter 9 Discovered

Back at village

In the Smurf village, Smurfette was looking around, worrying about things happening, and felt something was about to happen if Hope couldn't return safely home. Hefty and Handy see Smurfette very worried. And they knew she was thinking about Hope.

Handy: She is still worried about Hope.

Hefty: Yeah. I haven't seen her like this since Papa banished Gargamel from our world. She is so afraid of losing our daughter because of him.

Handy: It must've been hard for Smurfette to get her to feel at ease. Plus, Hope is going to be okay.

Hefty: I know, but it's hard for her, and she doesn't want anything to happen to her. Ever since Hope was born, she was afraid of losing her again, and it hasn't been easy to know everything is going to be okay.

Hefty's Flashback...

Smurfette was sitting in her chair, holding her baby daughter in her arms while sleeping. Hefty walked into the baby's nursery and knew something was wrong with Smurfette.

Hefty: Smurfette?

Smurfette looked at her husband coming into the room and walking closer to her and Hope.

Smurfette: Hefty. I was about to head to bed. I'll put Hope in her crib in a minute.

Hefty: I know, but you haven't been yourself, and I am starting to feel worried that you might stress yourself out.

Smurfette started to cry and was afraid of everything that happened. Hefty tried to put her at ease and told her it would be okay and nothing to worry about.

Smurfette: I know Hefty, but with everything Gargamel has done, I felt our daughter would not feel safe from him.

Hefty: You have nothing to worry about, Smurfette. Papa did what he could to banish Gargamel to protect all of us.

They looked at each other. They have nothing to worry about and then look at their baby daughter sleeping in Smurfette's arms and that she will be alright.

Hefty: Nothing is going to happen to Hope. She has us and all the Smurfs that love her.

Smurfette: You're right. Nothing is going to happen to her.

Hefty kissed Smurfette on the lips, knowing he was there for her no matter how hard she tried to ensure their daughter was okay. They heard the baby waking up and feeling a little fussy.

Hefty: don't worry, I will take the baby to her crib.

Smurfette: Are you sure?

Hefty: I'm sure you need to rest.

Smurfette kissed Hope on her forehead, and then she let Hefty take Hope to her crib and headed to bed. Then, the baby was calm and opened her eyes to see her dad smiling.

Hefty: Hey, baby girl, your mom will be okay now. Let's get you in the crib.

Hefty put the baby in her crib, and then she went back to sleep. Hefty kissed her on the head and went to bed.

Smurfette: Is she alright?

Hefty: She's fine. Smurfette let her sleep. OK.

Smurfette: OK.

They kiss each other on the lips and are ready to sleep.

Hefty: Good night, Smurfette.

Smurfette: Night Hefty.

End of Flashback...

Hefty and Handy knew Smurfette would be alright and Hope would return safe and sound to the village. Just then, all 3 of them heard Lily and figured out something was wrong. And Handy walked to his wife to find out what was wrong.

Handy: Lily, is everything okay.

Lily huffs, trying to catch her breath. She starts feeling slightly better and is about to tell her husband what's happening.

Lily: No, I can't find our boys.

Handy: what? They're not in their rooms.

Lily: No, I don't think they are in their rooms or anywhere in the village. I told Storm, Papa, and Willow, and nothing.

All four decided to go back to help look and know if the boys were anywhere in the village. Then Papa Smurf checked on Glammy to see if he was there.

Papa Smurf: Glammy!

Papa Smurf checked, and Glammy wasn't in his house.

Willow: Glammy isn't in the village either.

Papa Smurf: No, He's not.

Hefty: Papa, you don't think. They went into the forbidden forest.

Handy: I don't think they would. Would they?

Papa Smurf then realized that Hefty and Handy could be right. And felt they were in real trouble for disobeying him.

Papa Smurf: Handy, I think they did.

Handy: What. Oh, these two are so grounded.

Lily: Make that two months of blue moons.

Hefty then knew what the boys were up to and realized why they were going into the forbidden forest.

Hefty: They wanted to join with Hope.

Smurfette: You think so?

Handy: Hefty, you may be right.

Papa Smurf: Well, now we know why they did it.

Willow: Mmmhmm.

Papa Smurf: When those Smurfs come home, they are in a lot of trouble.

Willow: I agree the three of them are in so much trouble.
