It was now early at night. Everyone is celebrating Hope being back home. Hope was outside of the village, sitting at her favorite spot in the river, feeling happy that she was back as she looked at her reflection. Glammy came over and sat next to Hope.
Glammy: Thought I might find you here.
Hope: I guess you know where I am, huh?
Glammy: Well, not really, Papa told me you might be here.
Hope: Oh.
They laughed and looked at each other and smiled. Glammy started to blush and was about to tell Hope how he felt about her.
Glammy: Hope?
Hope: Yeah. What is it, Glammy?
Glammy: I have to confess to you I...
Hope: I what?
He is about to confess but sees four shadows behind Hope, turns around, sees who it is, and is about to throw a freeze ball at Hope.
Glammy: Hope, Look out!
Glammy pushes Hope alway to save her. He frozen. Hope looked up to see Gargamel and Scruple cackling like the villains they were.
Hope: Gargamel!
Gargamel: Now I finally got you.
Scruple: Oh, I'm sorry. Did we scare you?
Glammy: Hope. Run!
Hope ran back to the village as fast as she could to warn the others. Gargamel then took Glammy and placed him in his bag.
Hope: Everyone run! Gargamel!
Everyone in the village started to run. Gargamel and Scruple appear from bushes and move the trees away, giving them access to go in.
Storm: Run this way!
Azrael stopped anyone from exiting the village, trying not to let them escape; Storm and some other Smurfs were on a tree branch holding spears.
Storm: Spears, Now!
Gargamel: Gargamel says freeze!
Storm and the other smurfs are on the branch and got frozen.
Scruple: Where's the girl?
Gargamel: Find her! Now then, freeze ball! Freeze ball! Freeze ball!
Hope ran and tried to get away from Gargamel but stopped and saw that some of the smurfs couldn't run away in time as many of them frozen. Just then, Scruple sees her and lets Gargamel know he found her. Hope turns around and sees that they are about to capture her.
Scruple: Ha, found you.
Gargamel: there's nowhere to run.
Gargamel was about to grab Hope, but her dad, Hefty, grabbed her just in time and ran with her mom, Smurfette. Scruple threw a freeze ball aimed at Hope and Smurfette, and Hefty jumped in the way before it hit them.
Hefty: Hope, Smurfette!
They gasped and went over to him. Monty was carrying two freeze balls on his claw. He flew above the smurfs and froze all of them.
Hope: Dad.
Smurfette: Hefty.
Hefty: It's over, Hope.
Gargamel called Monty to pick up the bag. Scruple and Azrael pointed at each other. Monty picked it up and started scooping the smurfs into the bag.
Hefty: Hope you have to run. Go!
Hope: Dad, no!
Smurfette grabs Hope and runs to the bushes, and pushes her to hide to stay low. Gargamel picked all the smurfs that are frozen and got an idea.
Gargamel: Come out, Child. There is nowhere you can escape from me.
Hope was about to come out, but her mom, Smurfette, stopped her and kept staying low as her mom put a hood on.
Gargamel: I will let your family go. If you come willingly.
Hope had no choice but to give herself up. Just then, Smurfette was wearing a hood and ran but got captured by Gargamel to believe that he got Hope.
Gargamel: You think I will let them go? I lied. Now that I have you, I will finally have my revenge to finish you.
Hope came out of the bushes. Gargamel carried all the Smurfs off to his lair.
Hope: Mom...
She looked around her, all the damage that had been done, and she broke down and cried and was afraid and didn't know what she was going to do.
Hope: No, this can't happen like this. I can't be the chosen one. I can't.
Hope started crying again. A bunch of animals came out of hiding, saw what happened, and came towards her.
Hope: I don't know what makes me a true Smurf.
Then, a teardrop fell on the floor. Hope heard a little girl laugh and saw a vision of herself as a little girl playing happily with her dad.
Hefty(voice): I am coming to get you. Baby girl.
And another vision of herself playing a game with Grouchy.
Young Hope (voice): Got you. Uncle Grouchy.
Grouchy(voice): Haha, come here, you little munchkin.
Another vision at Handy's Workshop where young Hope, Inventor, and Hunter created something.
Young Hope (voice): Look, Uncle Handy, look what we made.
Handy(Voice): Wow. You kids made this.
Young Inventor(voice): Yeah, Dad, you like it.
Young Hunter(voice): do you, Dad?
Handy(voice): I love it.
And a final vision shows young Hope hugging her mom and dad.
Young Hope (voice): I love you, mom and dad.
Smurfette(voice): Oh, my baby.
Hefty(voice): We love you too.
Then, she realizes what makes her who she is.
SmurfSpirit(voice): In time, you will know.
Hope: Love... love is what makes me a true Smurf.
