Chapter 8 Going Through the Tunnel

In the deep, dark tunnel, the four smurfs were on their way out of the tunnel but could not know where they were going and were not where they were supposed to go.

Hope: Thanks Bucky.

Hunter: hey, I hate to say it, but where is the way out?

Inventor: Huh. I don't know, but it looks like we're stuck here.

Glammy: Don't say that there has to be a way out.

When all four Smurfs looked around, they noticed it was like a maze. As they look around, they see four paths that will get them out of the tunnel.

Glammy: Hey guys, look.

Hope: Four paths could lead us a way out of the tunnel.

Inventor: Or we can get lost if one of these paths can lead us out of here.

Hunter: You do have a point, little brother.

Inventor: Hey. We are brothers, but we're born twins.

Hunter: I know, but I still support you.

Hunter and Inventor look at each other, feeling they care about one another as siblings. As the four Smurfs look at each other, they figure out what to do.

Hope: Maybe we should all go on one of the paths that could lead us out of the tunnel.

Hunter: What you mean is that each of us has to take one path that leads the way out by ourselves?

Hope: Yeah. Why, what's wrong?

Inventor: Oh, right. I forgot that Hunter is afraid of going to dark places alone.

Glammy: OK, Hmmm.... I think I got an idea that could work. Remember what Brainy used when he was in a tunnel just like this?

Hope: Yeah, I remember he used a small glass vial marked with light for ways to get out of this tunnel.

Hope and Glammy went into their packs to grab what they needed and head in one of the paths that led them out of the tunnel.

Hope: Now we're ready. Are you going to be OK, Hunter?

Hunter: Yeah, thanks, Hope.

Hope: No problem. Just Shake the vial, and the light will turn on.

All the four Smurfs take each of the four paths of the tunnel if it could lead them out. Hope had Bucky with her as they were going through the tunnel.

Hope: All right, Bucky, let's go together, get moving, and find a way out.

Glammy: I am with her no matter what.

Hunter: Yeah. Hopefully, we can get out of here soon. I'm starting to feel a little nervous.

Inventor: Don't worry. Everything will be OK. Move until you see a light coming up. You can do it. I know you can.

Hunter: Thanks, Inventor, I needed to hear that.

They kept moving as they were in the middle of finding a way out. But as they kept moving through the tunnel, the four stopped where they were and tried to see a bright light.

Hope: You Guys see anything.

Glammy: Nope.

Inventor: I don't think so.

Hunter: Nothing at my end.

Hope: Well, keep looking. There has to be a sign or any sunlight coming through the tunnel.

When they were moving through the tunnel, Hunter's light was about to go out, and he paused and started to panic.

Hunter: Hey guys. My light is going out.

Inventor: Hang on, stay where you are. And try not to do anything crazy.

Hunter: I'll try.

Hope: Don't worry, Hunter, everything will be OK.

Glammy: Yeah, Hunter, stay calm.

Hunter was trying to stay as calm as possible, and his light was already out, but then he looked through his pack and found an orange liquid that could be helpful.

Hunter: Hey guys. I found something in my pack.

Glammy: What is it?

Hunter: An orange liquid fuel and powerful.

Hope: Wait. Orange liquid, oh no.

Inventor: What? What's wrong?

Hope: That's Uncle Brainy's superpower fuel.

Glammy: Did you say superpower fuel?

Hope: Yup. Whatever you do, Hunter, please don't throw it.

Hunter: Why would I do that?

Suddenly, Hunter accidentally throws Brainy's superpower fuel, and Hope hears an explosion.

Hope: Duck and cover!

All four smurfs covered their heads, and the tunnel blew up and made a huge hole.

Hope: Is everyone alright?

Glammy: I'm good.

Inventor: Me too.

Hope: What about you, Hunter? Are you OK?

About to respond, Hunter heard something from the tunnel behind him and saw glowing green eyes staring at him. He started to scream. Then, the three Smurfs paused, listened to a big rumble, and felt something shake from the tunnel. Then Hope hops on to Bucky and is about to go fast.

Hope: Go Bucky!

Hunter: Hey Hope.

Hope saw Hunter riding on a glowing rabbit, and both Glammy and Inventor were on a glowing rabbit, and they saw a way out of the tunnel.

Glammy: Hey, I see an opening straight ahead.

The stampede of glowing rabbits continued moving, and all of them were out of the tunnel.

All: woohoo.

Glammy: oh yeah, this is amazing.

Hope: you think that's amazing watch this.

Hope and Bucky just did a flip as they went through the forest, and all three of them were surprised and impressed with Hope and Bucky's fantastic move. Just then, one of the glowing rabbits bumps into each other, and the three boys are saved by Bucky.

Glammy: Thanks for the save, Bucky.

Hope: Something tells me we're going to a big waterfall ahead.

All three: wow.

Hope: I believe that's where we're heading to.

Hunter: you think so?

Hope: I think so. Let go, Bucky.

All four Smurfs continued going, and they were going to the waterfall.
