Chapter 5 Escape

Gargamel and Scruple are about to prepare the spell but notice the open cage door. And they saw the Smurfs runoff.

Gargamel: It's a jailbreak; they got the girl. They're ruining everything.

They ran to a crossbow and went on it; Hefty was pushing it to the pet door.

Hope: Dad? Is this safe?

Hefty: Well, it's a giant crossbow, so I'm gonna go with "No."

Hefty pointed it to the pet door; Gargamel and Scruple saw that they were about to escape.

Gargamel: Don't let them escape.

Scruple: We need the girl.

Gargamel and Scruple were about to get Hope; up top was a mouse with a freeze ball; the mouse dropped it on both Gargamel and Scruple and made them float around. The Smurfs were about to escape.

Inventor: where are the seat belts?

Handy: we need to go before they get Hope.

Gargamel and Scruple are still floating around, and then Gargamel calls his pets to get Hope.

Gargamel: Get the girl!

They saw Azrael coming.

Hefty: Hang on.

All: Okay.

Hefty: fire in the hole!

Hefty used his feet and clicked the trigger as they were shot to the pet door and,landed on the ground, and started running. Azrael went out the pet door, and Monty broke the door and chased them.

Gargamel: get them, get those Smurfs.

Scruple: And bring the girl back.

The smurfs were running on the bridge, Handy saw Azrael getting close to them.

Handy: Keep going, Azrael's gaining on us!

Azrael meawed at Monty; Monty drove down to the smurfs; Inventor looked.

Inventor: Dad. Incoming bird!!

Monty sliced the bridge in half. Azrael was on the one side, and the Smurfs were on the other side; they held on to the planks of the bridge so that they wouldn't fall.

Hefty: Hang on tight. This might hurt a little.

They were still holding on; the bridge slammed on the rock as they kept holding on, and they saw that there was a rock.

Hunter: huh?

Then they let go and went down the rocks.

Handy: come on, keep moving.

Hefty: Smurf this way.

They started running down, Azrael got back up to the hills and meowed to Monty, and started chasing them. Monty drove down and tried grabbing Hope with his claws, but they ducked down in time; Monty dived down again, the time pushing the smurfs up as he landed under the dirt. But somehow, they landed on their feet again and continued running when Monty rose from the dirt and started roaring.

Handy: Run faster! Run faster!

Inventor: I never ran so fast in my life.

Hunter: whoo, Me either.

Glammy: Hurry.

They ran to the log. They went in the log. Hope trip and fell in the log as Monty was coming closer.

Hope: Dad, he is getting closer.

Hefty went to get her. Hope got scared. Monty was coming closer, and Hefty grabbed Hope and held her tight when the log lifted, Monty banged his head under the log and looked for the smurfs and didn't see them. The log fell on Monty's head. Then Hefty checks if he is gone and looks at his daughter.

Hefty: Are you hurt?

Hope: I'm fine, Dad.

Hefty: Thank the Smurfs, you're okay.

Hefty hugged his daughter and said that she was okay and were in Smurf Village as they returned from rescuing Hope from the Hovel and saw Lily, Papa Smurf, Willow, and Smurfette waiting for them.

Smurfette: Hope?

Hope: Mom.

Hope ran to her mom and hugged her, saying there was nothing to worry about, and Lily saw her husband Handy and her sons Inventor and Hunter.

Smurfette: Are you okay? You gave me a scare.

Hope: I'm fine Mom. I didn't mean to scare you like that.

Smurfette: As long you're okay.

Hefty: Yeah, baby girl, as long you are safe.

Lily: Boys?

Inventor and Hunter: Mom.

Handy: Yup. Everything is alright now.

Then Papa Smurf and Willow came to them.

Papa Smurf: Well, I know three boys who have much explaining to do.

Willow: Mmmhmm.

Glammy, Inventor, and Hunter know they have much to explain to their two leaders and must tell them what happened.

Hunter: oh.

Glammy: right...

Inventor: yeah......

The three boys started walking with the two leaders, and Hope was about to go back home with her parents and decided to head over to Papa Smurf's house to figure out what was going on after she was back home.

Hope: Dad, Mom maybe I should go see Papa for a bit.

Hefty: Well? All right.

Smurfette: I know, but it's all right with me.

Hope: Thanks, Mom and Dad. Love you.

Both: Love you too.

Hope went to see Papa Smurf and Willow but heard them talking to the boys and she decided to listen and found something that shocked her.
