Chapter 16 Saving The Smurfs

At Gargamel's lair, Scruple and Gargamel were preparing the spell with all the things they needed to complete Gargamel's spell from many years ago.

Scruple: All the things you need are right here, Garge.

Gargamel: Well done. We need enough power for my revenge.

Gargamel then went over to check if everything was going as planned.

Gargamel: Yes. Yes. Yes!

Scruple: you two get everything ready.

Azrael and Monty were grabbing a lot of sets as all of the items they needed for Gargamel to complete the spell. Hefty, Handy, Brainy, Glammy, Inventor, Hunter, and others were inside a cage trying to devise an idea to escape and save Hope.

Brainy: Here's what we will do; I pick this lock.

All: Yeah?

Brainy: We swing to that shelf.

All: Yeah?

Brainy: get the key and pick up a heavy stone.

All: Yeah?

Brainy: Free the others and Hope. And use the heavy stone to kill the bird!

All: Yeah! Wait what?

Handy: Brainy, you want us to kill the bird?

Hefty: way too dark.

Brainy: Fine. We'll just knock him out.

Inventor: Sounds like a good plan. To me, Uncle Brainy.

Hunter: All right, Let's do this.

Willow and Papa Smurf heard their plan and wanted to help them.

Willow: Looks like they have a plan. They're going to need our help.

Papa Smurf: Right time to rock the cage.

Willow: I thought you might say that.

Brainy successfully picked the lock and started linking hands. At the same time, Willow and Papa Smurf began to rock the towards them.

Brainy: Yes! Okay, now!

They started to jump out of the cage. They would have fallen if Glammy hadn't held onto the cage on time. They swung, and Storm reached for Papa and Willow's hands. Glammy let go, swung to the edge of the shelf, and barely held on. Azrael noticed they escaped and meowed, trying to get Gargamel and Scruple's attention as the Smurfs tried to get the key.

Scruple: Not now, you furball!

Gargamel: We cannot calibrate to complete the spell if you keep yammering.

Realizing Gargamel and Scruple won't help, Azrael decided to catch the smurfs himself. He started jumping up to knock the smurfs off the shelf. The ones in range of Azrael started jumping upwards to avoid his claws. Glammy lifted his hand holding Inventor and lifted it the best he could.

Glammy: Hang on, Inventor.

Inventor: Not that I have a choice.

Azrael then jumped up again to get Hunter. He missed the first time, but his claw got his shirt and pulled him down the second time due to Azrael's weight. Inventor lost his grip on Clumsy, but he was still with Glammy. Glammy lifted him and Inventor, and the potion bottle fell with the key. It hit Azrael's head, making him see stars. Gargamel and Scruple heard the potion glass break, and the smurfs hid. Then they both looked back and gasped.

Gargamel: Sweet mercy! It's another jailbreak! Scruple! Look for them. They must be here.

Scruple took a net to look for the smurfs that escaped. Hefty grabbed the key and went to the cage to free his daughter. He unlocks the cage and tries to get her up.

Hefty: Hope. Wake up. It's me. We have to save the others.

She woke up, turned around, and revealed her face. It was his wife, Smurfette, in a hood.

Hefty: Smurfette?

Hefty turned around and saw Gargamel right in front of him.

Gargamel: Well, if it is the father. Trying to save your precious daughter. Too bad your wife won't be here to witness this.

Hefty: You harmed my daughter before. I'm not letting you hurt her again.

Gargamel: Well then, why not join her instead?

Gargamel then cackled and was about to use the spell when he heard someone at the door.

Hope: Let my family go, Gargamel!

Everyone looked her way. Hope was standing at the front door.

Hefty: Hope.

Gargamel: What? How is it possible?

Smurfette removes her hood and reveals herself in front of Gargamel.

Scruple: What?

Gargamel: Well, well, it's the lovely Smurfette. So you hid your daughter from me and also tricked me.

Hope: Don't you dare say that to my mom. She did everything she could to protect me.

Gargamel: I still have all the smurfs, and you are just a girl. And there is nothing you can do about it.

Hope then realizes that the prophecy is why Gargamel has been after her for a long time.

Hope: Now I get it. You knew about the prophecy all along, did you?

Gargamel: Well, I...

Hope: You were afraid of how my existence changed everything and that I was going to end you.

Gargamel felt so much rage that she knew and realized there was no getting out of it.

Gargamel: Well then, let's see how strong your magic is.

He raised his hands to use his magic and shot to end Hope, but she blocked it with her magic. After a few seconds, potions started exploding. Candles began to blow out, And Inventor knew what was happening.

Inventor: Wait a minute, of course!

Hope kept going, and Gargamel's magic started reversing.

Gargamel: What? Oh, what's happening? What are you doing?

Hope: I'm ending you, Gargamel and anyone else who uses dark magic will be banished for good.

Scruple: Uh oh.

All the smurfs cheered on.

Glammy: Go Hope!

Inventor: Whoo!

Hefty: That's my girl.

Gargamel knew he needed help and couldn't defeat Hope alone.

Gargamel: Azrael, Monty, Help me!

Azrael was catching a mouse, and Monty was watching him, but he ran towards Gargamel and was about to stop Hope, giving him a chance to end her. As soon as he felt the power, he started laughing. Inventor and Glammy knew Hope couldn't hold this up for long if Gargamel had the advantage.

Inventor: Glam, what are we going to do?

Glammy looked around and saw a spoon. Then he got an idea.

Glammy: Hey. We smurfboard.

Glammy grabbed the spoon, and Inventor got on the back. They slid down the axe and, once in range, knocked Monty out.

Glammy: All for one...!

Hope: and one for Smurf!

Glammy: Take this!

Monty was knocked out, spun around a few times, and launched at Azrael, making them both unconscious. The boys then landed safely on the ground. Hope's magic spread all around the place, and it started breaking everything. Hope used every last strength in her and aimed toward Gargamel, Azrael, Monty, and Scruple, turning them into dust with all the strength Hope had and fainted.

Gargamel and Scruple: No!!!!!!!!!!
