Act 26: Seiya and Usagi's Second Date

What happens when Seiya and Usagi try to go on a date?

Usagi and Seiya walked down the street with smiles on their faces. However, Seiya underestimated the resourcefulness of the photographers. When they want pictures for celebrities, they are relentless. The flash from a camera catches them off guard.

"Seiya-san, is this your girlfriend? The two of you have been spending a lot of time together. Do you have a comment on your status?" The man behind the camera asks the young couple.

"My life is private," Seiya said as he walks past the man in a huff. Usagi quickens her pace to keep up with him.

"All your fans want to know the answer!" The man shouts behind them. The duo quickly enters a metro station and lost the photographer.

Once they are in the station Usagi asks, "Does this happen to you all the time?"

"Chased by reporters?" Seiya asks with a frown. "Too often," he answers his own question.

Seiya and Usagi remain in the station for another ten minutes until they are sure the reporter is gone. They cautiously walk out of the station while looking around for the young man and since he is nowhere to be seen they emerge out of the metro exit.

Usagi takes a sharp intake of breath when she sees Varada. "That's him," Usagi said, as she points to a man across the street dressed in black and silver with dark green hair.

Seiya eyes the man carefully to make a mental note of his appearance. "I'm sure he's not here for anything good." Seiya glances around for a location where they can move to transform. "Over there," Seiya said with a head nod. The two turn the corner and pull out their transformation items.

"Moon Eternal, Make Up!"

"Fighter Star Power, Make Up!"

Sailor Moon and Sailor Star Fighter rush toward Varada as he begins to attack the city.

"I don't know why you keep attacking this city, but I won't stand for it! For love and justice, I am the pretty sailor suited solider Sailor Moon! In the name of the Moon, I will punish you!" She ends her speech in the familiar pattern of pointing to her adversary.

"Penetrating the darkness of night, the air of freedom breaks free. Sailor Star Fighter, stage on!"

Varada stands in shock as the two sailor senshi appear before him. His confusion gradually becomes a sinister smile. "A Sailor Starlight on this planet? How intriguing..." he trails off, as he takes a few steps forward to examine Sailor Star Fighter. "Your appearance only confirms our suspicions."

"What are you talking about?" Sailor Star Fighter questions him. She pulls out her star compact in preparation to attack when the time arose.

"If you are here, that means the Guardian is undeniably on this planet. Somewhere... and close by I imagine..." his voice trails off as he stares at Sailor Moon. "I constantly seem to keep running into you. Haven't you grown tired of this game yet?"

Before Sailor Moon can respond, Sailor Star Fighter takes a few steps in front of her. "Who is this Guardian you speak of?"

Varada laughs at Sailor Star Fighter's question. "You can't be serious? You of all people should know whom the Guardian is... especially with your history." He enjoys the puzzled look on Sailor Star Fighter's face, as she tries to make sense of what Varada alludes.

"What are you talking about?" Sailor Star Fighter questions; she can feel her temper rise. His remarks lead to more questions rather than answers.

Varada responds with more laugher. "If you don't know, I'm not going to tell you!" He taunts the Starlight. "But I grow tired of this banter." Varada raises his left hand over his head and collects dark energy. Seconds later, the energy disperses at Sailor Moon and Sailor Star Fighter.
