Thank you for being so patient while I wrote the rest of the story! After two years it is done. So that means.... WEEKLY UPDATES on Saturdays, unless I'm out of town and then that means they will be posted before I leave. New acts will be posted each week until the end of the year.

Several hours passed before Sailor Cosmos left the Silver Millennium to return to Earth. It was already late. She knew it would be best if she returned to the hotel, appearing a short distance away and reverted back to Usagi. She stretched her arms over her head. She had more questions now than she had at the beginning of the day. She could have sworn the hotel was nearby, but it was going to take her a little longer than she thought to get back. All of the American cities began to look the same.

Mamoru needed a break from staring at the same four walls in his dorm room. He sat in the lounge area of the floor. He tried to read a book to take his mind off of everything. He was planning on speaking with Rei and Usako again tomorrow. He hoped she learned something when she traveled to Pluto. He wasn't sure where the two girls were staying and he wasn't sure if Usako was even back.

Mai plopped down on the couch to the left of him. The sudden weight on the couch to the side of him startled him and he jumped up. His posture relaxed when he realized it was Mai. His heart rate was still elevated and he knew it would take a few moments before it returned to normal. Before he could open his mouth to speak, Ayumi sat down on the other side of the couch. "..Hi?" Mamoru didn't know what else to say. He felt like he was being cornered by the two women for something.

"You never talk about your past, Mamoru-san." Mai had so many questions about the mysterious person from Tokyo. He had lived on the floor for several months and occasionally socialized with the group but talked very little about himself. Mai knew it was traditional not to speak or boast about one's achievements... but even in polite conversation family was important.

The way the two women cornered him on the couch made him believe they weren't going to accept his past vague answers. Mamoru wasn't sure why this was so important to them at this moment. "There isn't much to tell."

"But we told you all about our families and haven't heard a lot about yours!" Mai moved in closer, wanting to hear every word.

"I lost my parents in a car accident and my memories when I was young and lived in foster care until I was old enough to take care of myself," Mamoru finally revealed.

Whatever Mai expected to hear, this was not it. She leaned back on the couch. Now she felt guilty for prying into his past. But there was still one more thing that was bugging her. How did he know Usagi? She had to know. She wasn't sure how to ask given she had just struck out. She looked over at Ayumi for help.

Ayumi knew what information she was after and Ayumi agreed to tag along since she was also curious. "You never did elaborate how you know Usagi-chan. I mean.... She just happened to visit here.... You two even have nicknames for each other. That isn't something that happens overnight."

He paled slightly. He knew this topic would eventually come up. "It's a rather long, complicated story..." His voice trailed off. He hoped that would be the end of it. But seeing Mai inching forward on the couch, she was not going to let it go. He tried to slightly change the subject, "Why the sudden curiosity?"

This time it was Ayumi's turn. She wanted direct information. "It's clear Usagi-chan means a lot to you, more than you are trying to let on... but something happened?" Ayumi waited for a response.
