You were late. And I mean- hella late. Late for what you ask? Only the most important meeting in your life! Your promotion meeting at work.
You’d been working hard for the past 4 years, waiting on this. And now you finally had a chance, and you slept in!! The meeting started at 8:30 and you stared at your clock that read 8:28. There was no way you could get to work in 2 freaking minutes… or could you?
You could call them.
You see, your best friend was unlike any person you met before. Larger… taller… than anyone you’d been with before. You knew that calling them to help would freak some people out but- you had to make it to this meeting! It could change your life.
“Hello?!” You accidentally yelled over the phone.
“You need a ride to work again dont you?” They responded.
“Y-Yes?” You responded timidly.
“Look outside, tardypants-“ They said.
In shock, you ran to the door, only to open it and be greeted with a gigantic shoe. You craned your neck up and saw none other than your Giant best friend. They took up your whole view as they cast a shadow over your house and others surrounding it.
“H-Hey….” You stuttered, this being one of the many athings times you’d asked them for a ride somewhere. They shook their head at you scolding my, but then smiled sweetly right after.
“When will you learn, my tiny friend?” They said with lightness in their voice, they were joking with you. They secretly loved carrying you, taking you places, helping you out. You were speechless, honestly just wishing you could magically poof to the job.
“Don’t just stand there! Cmere-“ Their voice echoed around you, and before you knew it, you were being swept into the air. They had picked you up, slowly bringing you to their chest. They carefully placed you in their shirt pocket.
The fabric was soft, almost like it was made for human travel. They’d worn this shirt on purpose because they knew it was your favorite to ride in. “Thanks…” You said as you nuzzled into the fabric and listened to their heartbeat.
“No problem.” They said. As they began walking to your job, they only had one thought on their mind.
“I could do this forever.”
