*Ring*

Everyone ran when they heard the bell. I felt someone touch my hand that was on my desk. I could tell by the softness of the hand it was Ray's hand. His hand was cold, soft, smooth, gentle, and calming unlike anything else. Turning around I held his hand now, "I am going to the office then the roof want to join or are you busy?"

He tightened his grip, "Let's go." Letting go of my hand when he finished his sentence. Just looking at his expression something had him really uneasy. Walking through these hallways I felt alone even though he walked next me, empty space was between us maybe it is just me imagining things. Still, he felt so distant I put my hands together in front of me continuing to walk. I looked to my sides where did he go? My head turned there he was stopped dead in his own tracks in the middle of the hallway for no reason. Walking closer to him, "You are so special, but I have never felt so distant even though you're right next to me. I can't help but feel alone what is wrong with me?" His hair whipped in front of his face as the palm of his hand was on his forehead.

"Ray... you okay?" I took a step closer and put my head a little closer to his head.

"I don't know anymore." His hand came back down, his midnight hair covered and hid his face like a midnight blanket, almost like it was hiding him from the world including me.

"Ray!" I saw him get a little off balance something was wrong. He fell to the floor I managed to catch him in time, I took the fall for him, it knocked the air out of me for a second but that wasn't going to stop me. This time he needed my help, no one was in the halls. I didn't want to leave him so I peaked around the corner and saw the infirmary. Grabbing his hand and pulling his arm I basically carried him in there. Sliding the door open was a slight challenge but nothing can stop me. After entering I sat him on one of the beds and shut the door. I forced him to lay down, he needed some rest, to get enough strength to even move a muscle. Seeing him lie there was difficult to watch. Blood he needs blood that will make him better right? I don't know anything about vampires. I looked next to the bed there was a chair and a small side cabinet. Pulling the chair next to him he attempted to talk.

"Alice..."

"Don't talk you idiot get some rest before I knock you out with my fist. I am looking for some blood to make you better so just wait a little longer, please." Attempting to hold in my tears I opened the compartment there was a stick note that said:

To infirmary users,

Due to certain circumstances the blood supply is gone and will not be returning for a few weeks' maybe even months. All we have is some band aids hope that helps.

Sorry for any inconvenience,

Nurse

My heart sunk what I am supposed to do and what I want to do are opposites. He is going to die without blood. "Ray the blood supply is gone..."

He coughed, I don't know how much more I can mentally handle seeing him like this. Pushing himself to the limit he said, "I am fine... please don't worry about me so much."

I looked at him helping him up, "Stop lying, you're really sick." His eyes were closed his time was going to run out. "How long has it been since you had some blood?" Never thought I would be asking him of all people this.

"Not for a while. Can't really remember..." His voice was so dry and every time he spoke my heart was stabbed a little more each time. Something was killing me whenever he spoke.

Letting him die is not an option I don't care what Mr. M said, watching Ray die just because I am human is not something I will allow. Human or vampire doesn't matter right now to me, my thoughts cleared. "Ray drink my blood so you can get better." I felt his heart skip a beat and begin to race.
