"What a creep he needs to back off."
"You're jealous of nothing. I already said I don't like anyone like that."
"What am I to you exactly? I have been wondering since Mr. M brought it up a while ago?" His gaze looked intensely at me. I don't know how to respond I like Ray but he is too far out of my reach.
"I like you but you're on a different level than me." His expression was unreadable.
"I like you a lot, but I don't see how we are on a different level at all. It bugs me to see you with guys like Evan they are all flirt and nothing else." Mr. M spoke I didn't realize he was here and from Ray's face it was the same for him.
"Can you two not flirt in front of me? Seriously either start dating or stop it, watching you two makes me mad. If you like each other start dating, who cares about what different levels you're on." Mr. M loved coming out of nowhere and barging in on other people, especially when Ray and I talked.
"That was blunt." I was thinking that same thing as Ray.
"Sorry to ruin the moment. So how was the party?" Ray and I looked at each other putting our hands on top of each other and laughed.
"It was okay." I didn't even look at Mr. M my eyes were stuck looking at Ray he was having the same thing happen to him.
"I need to grab something in this cabinet, excuse me." Ray and I were too busy looking at each other to even care about what Mr. M said or was doing. Mr. M accidentally bumped into Ray pushing his face not even one centimeter from my face, this was a little close. Still rather Ray then Evan. Ray was so kind that is exactly why I can't get too close to him. When Mr. M spun around he walked to where he was before. "Are you two done? I would like to have a conversation with you two. Both your eyes need to be looking at me." I turned my head and looked at Mr. M.
"What is it?" I was finally able to look at Ray for a while which I probably wouldn't be able to do for a while considering everyone's eyes were always on me.
"Well I have a problem." I liked making smart comments when in situations like this.
"You have a countless number of problems. What is your point?"
"I need you two to be a pretend couple only for one hour tomorrow." He looked like he was scared. Maybe he was terrified of us saying no.
"Why?"
"Just trust me on this." Ray didn't seem against it I was the only one who was asking all the questions. "Since I keep asking you two for help I will make sure all your classes are excused for special training I'll call it."
"I have a feeling Ray and I will rarely go to any classes."
"The only classes you two will probably take are fighting, defensive, and spying classes."
"Sure I can live with that. That is exactly what employers look for when hiring an employee." I was the only one laughing.
"Maybe I'll have you work here someday." We all started laughing.
"Mr. M, since Alice and I are a couple can we be all romantic and flirt in front of you and in your office." He smiled and I laughed even more.
"I don't know about that." He let out a big smile. "Make sure you two are here by eight try not to be too romantic before it is needed."
"I think we can act this out really well." I said quickly.
"Do you even need to act?" Mr. M asked questionably.
"Of course we need to act, Ray and I aren't dating. How many times do I have to say that?" Ray looked at me for a second and then back at Mr. M.
"I get to act like Alice and I are a couple this is going to be interesting." Ray spoke quietly just loud enough for Mr. M to hear it. I heard it loud and clear.
"Ray can you leave me to talk with Alice a bit." His tone was serious, what did Mr. M want to tell me? Ray nodded and left in a heartbeat.
