"Go to bed."
This time more demanding, I was getting frustrated, he probably saw it come through my eyes. He turned his back to me, I reached over pulling the blanket over his shoulder. After a few long minutes I snuck out of the infirmary, as I did this I saw a man standing on the side of the door with a devilish smile on his face."Miss are you the new student we have?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
He took a step closer. "Sorry I haven't introduced myself yet, I am Dolo. Everyone in this god forsaken place calls me Perdidit Spera. When I had friends they call me Dolo instead of that awful other name."
"Nice to meet you Dolo. Hope we can be friends." I smiled. Finally someone who was somewhat normal and kind. His manners were spot on too. Why can't there be more people like him. There was a little thickness in the air but it might just have been because I lost a lot of blood.
"I hope so to." He turned away and continued in his solitude. Just looking at him I felt so alone, why was he all alone not talking to anyone? I looked down the hall and saw a sign hanging from the ceiling it read principal's office. Running towards it I heard people talking inside sounded really serious. I managed to hear a little bit of their conversation.
"Principal, you are being too laid back. Another person died today on school grounds. There was blood everywhere I barely cleaned it up in time before the students witnessed what had happened. Just think of what would have happened if they saw blood the whole school would be in a feeding faze earlier than usual. By an entire week, that week early could be the end of any mortal in the radius of a mile. You know how much those human morning dwellers love coming to the school during the day for their classes."
"I am aware of the consequences, but I do have a plan as always." The principal's words resonated in the air.
"Doesn't this have something to do with that new student, Alice?" Whoever was talking seemed to get slightly nervous. Still continuing the person spoke, "A new student we haven't had in a while."
"Alice is one of the pieces on the chess board. She will be very useful to us." I heard a thump coming from the other side of the door.
"Show yourself." I turned the door knob with my head down I didn't want to see the look on Mr. M's face. "Alice why were you ease-dropping."
"Leave her to me I have some consequences in mind. It will kill two birds with one stone." I lifted up my head ignoring the other person in the room I looked directly over to Mr. M with sorrowful eyes. "Now let me discuss some things with Alice. Goodbye." The other person in the room left locking the door behind her. "Sit down." I sat down in a chair, my mind clouded up by everything that has happened.
"Mr. M..." He interrupted me.
"You're fragile and weak what happened?" His eyes widened as he tried to read my face. My eyes dropped to my wrist where I had a band aid on my wrist. Putting my hand over it.
"I had to..." Interrupted again I was slightly getting more frustrated.
"Take the band aid off." He stared into my eyes as I peeled it off his eyes focused on my wrist. It was swollen and was obviously a vampire bite. "Alice. I told you not to get to close."
"I can't just sit back and watch someone die!"
"You can't let yourself die either." His face turned into anger but I only could see the disappointment on his face. Reaching over to my wrist. "Let me help." I slapped his hand away.
"Stay away from me you jerk." I flicked my hair back and put my hand on the door. A thought crossed my mind as I attempted to turn the door knob. Locked...
