Die for you

Joshua is secretly in love with one of the most popular boys in his school, but he doesn't want to express his feelings to the boy because he's sure he'll be mocked. He could die for him, he could do anything for his elder, but on the other hand, well, the boy doesn't even know who he is.

At the moment, the American is sitting quietly in the bleachers of the basketball court, discreetly drawing his crush. He knows it's a strange thing to do, but it allows him to pass the time, and admire the one he loves at the same time. Just as he's about to finalize one of his artworks, a ball lands on him, causing him to miss one of his last strokes, Joshua grunts in disappointment and sighs.

" I'm sorry, I misaimed that shot."

Joshua gently raises his gaze and his closed, disappointed face transforms into one of surprise. In front of him stands his crush, the ball in his hands a nervous smile at the corners of his lips.

" It's okay."

The American manages a smile to reassure his elder and rises from the stands to leave, nevertheless an arm prevents him from leaving, the black-haired man stops out of obligation and turns to his crush.

" You don't have to go, you know ? I swear this is the one and ball you're going to get."

The black-haired man laughs softly and breaks free of his elder's grip.

" That's not why I want to go. But the bell's going to-"

Joshua's sentence is cut off by the ringing of the bell, which makes the blond man chuckle softly, and the American laughs too.

" See you in class then, Jisoo."

" You know we're in the same class and my first name ? "

" How could I not notice a boy as adorable and sexy as you."

Joshua starts to blush and a voice rises.

" Jeonghan ! Come on, we're going to be late for class again."

" Coming Cheol, see you in class cutie ~"

The black-haired boy blinks a few times and finally shakes his head and walks off, on the way he finds his back slammed against the lockers, and a bunch of girls are standing in front of him.

He doesn't understand what's going on at all, it's the first time it's happened to him.

" Stay away from Han oppa you, he's not gay like you."

" You're pathetic for wanting to get close to him."

" Oppa is ours. Jeonghan only loves us."

Joshua rolls his eyes, obviously he had to expect this, Jeonghan is loved by everyone and to girls fighting for his heart.

A clearing of the throat is heard, the girls move away from Joshua.

" Soo... why aren't you fighting back ? And you seriously, stop thinking I'm going to end up with any of you. I'm not attracted to any of you. "

" And he's gay most of all. "

" Hey, don't blow me off like that. Besides, so are you."

Seungcheol shrugs and heads back to his classroom. Joshua swallows and wonders what's really happened, but he doesn't have time to think any more because Jeonghan grabs his wrist and invites him back into the classroom.

The American really doesn't get it, he's usually at the front, in the second row, and today he finds himself in the last row with Jeonghan, his crush, at his side.

The class hours passed strangely much more quickly, Jeonghan didn't stop talking to him and this pleased Joshua enormously.

Now that the two boys were outside the school, Jeonghan proposed to Joshua that they go out together, and the American obviously accepted, his eyes sparkling with happiness, and now the two young men were chatting about anything and everything.

Until they reached a crosswalk, Jeonghan was about to cross, but Joshua saw a car coming at high speed and hurried to catch up with the blond to push him in the back so he wouldn't be hit by the vehicle. The black-haired boy saved the blond, but he was hit by the car, miraculously the boy is still alive but bleeding profusely.

" Joshi... you saved my life, I forbid you to die."

" Han... I have feelings for you, it was normal for me to save you, your life is more important than mine and I can die for you. "

Jeonghan starts to cry, and cries even more when Joshua's eyes slowly close, the blond feels horrible, ambulances arrive and pick Joshua up to take him to hospital.

-> A few months later

Jeonghan is at Joshua's bedside, he still hasn't woken up and the blond is worried, he's never felt such a lack of someone, and yet he's only been close to Joshua for one day, but for him it's as if he's been close to him for years and years, the connection between them immediately clicked and he knows that he too could die for his youngest.

" Jeonghan, how is he ? "

" It's always the same Cheol, he's always sleeping soundly."

Jeonghan's eyes begin to glisten, and tears begin to flow, Seungcheol gently strokes his friend's hair, to calm him.

" It should be me instead of him, he told me he has feelings for you and could die for me. I feel so bad."

" I know Han, but he'll wake up believe in him, you'll be able to express your feelings to him I assure you."

" I haven't even had time to tell him that... that I love him too."

Jeonghan starts crying again, his tears meeting Joshua's hands and surprisingly an alarm sounds, Joshua's eyes open delicately and he grunts. The blond looks towards his younger  and a wave of happiness washes over him, Seungcheol decides to leave the two boys in peace.

Jeonghan stares into Joshua's eyes and both boys begin to cry.

" Joshie... you're alive ! "

" Jeonghan, I love you."

" Shhhh..."

Jeonghan helps Joshua into a sitting position and immediately comes to hug him, Joshua hugging his eldest in return.

" You scared me so much, I thought I'd never be able to tell you how much I love you too Joshie."

" You love me ? "

" I've loved you for so long, my gaze has always been only on you, I knew I was gay when I saw you. You told me you could die for me, but I can die for you too. You're too important to me, this one day by your side has made me realize..."

Jeonghan doesn't have time to finish his sentence as Joshua comes up to kiss him on the lips, the exchange sweet and pleasant they both know from this kiss that the beginning of their relationship has only just begun.

They also know that they'll do anything to protect each other; one could die for the other, a fact that's not about to go away.
