Chapter 5: Dragon Slayer vs Devil Slayer

The temporary break was now over, and it was time for the matches of today to commence. Before this chapter starts, let me elaborate on the scoring system for each fight. Every single day of the games, there will be 4 matches where each guild faces another guild. There will be a time limit for each fight, which will be 15 minutes. If one guild successfully beats the other guild, they earn 10 points while the loser is awarded 0 Points. If the time limit passes and nobody has fainted, it is considered a draw, and each guild will be rewarded 5 points.
To summarize:
Lose - 0 Points
Draw - 5 Points EACH
Win - 10 Points

Council> "It's time for today's fights to begin! There will be a total of four matches. Each guild will have a chance to participate in combat. For the first match, it will be Cordelia vs Doron, with Ruby and Teresa competing for their guilds! Please both of you come down."

Dracona> "Good luck Teresa, I know you had rough luck in the game earlier today, but I believe in you."

Teresa nodded, and proceeded to run off to the battlefield.

Aqua> "Oh my god! Good luck Ruby, do your best for us all!"

Zola> "Kick some ass!"

Ruby> "I'll try my best, hehe~"

Quentin, seemed to have scrolls in hand before this match, he walked over to a spectator from their very own guild, Aldrich to give them a task during the fights.

Quentin> "Sephora, would you mind delivering these scrolls to every guild but Abbadon for me? Make sure to remain undetected."

Sephora> "Alright, no problem! I'll try my best not to get spotted."

Quentin> "If you see anyone roaming the halls of the colosseum from any of the guilds, just hand it to them without explanation."

Sephora> "I'll do my best."

Sephora headed off, and the match began... Ruby also made her way to the field, both of them stood there until they heard the bell signifying that their time had started. Teresa, for a mute girl, was quite observant, and had noticed that Ruby was a vampire by looking at her teeth before the bell rang. She immediately casted a spell to set the field to be brighter and more impacted by the sun. Ruby already felt the effects of it instantly. For her guild though, she had to endure it. She has worn a cloak onto the field for this very reason after all, though it wasn't fully effective in blocking the harsh rays of the sun.

Ruby> "Clever~ using magic to make me weaker. It still doesn't remove my powers for good!"

In a fast speed, Ruby began to run in circles quickly to confuse Teresa on where she would attack from. It is one of many vampiric abilities to have superspeed. In this time, Teresa had prepared a magic circle above to strike down a spell on Ruby, but it would take a while for this spell to formulate. Ruby noticed the wizard wasn't moving, and went straight for an attack behind. Teresa anticipated this and used a shield spell around her to block her attack so she could focus on casting the spell. The vampire used her telekinetic abilities to lift torches and other objects around to shatter the shield. In a couple of hits she was able to tear the barrier open and grab a hold of Teresa, ready to bite her neck to make her unconscious. The circle Teresa was making had broken. Teresa with staff in hand casted a spell of fire to burn the hood of her cloak, and the vampire was now exposed to the sunlight. Ruby quickly retreated and had to pull up her cloak so she wouldn't burn. Ruby decided to stay back and make use of range attacks and mind reading for the rest of the fight. She would simply read Teresa's moves and continuously dodge them. This lasted for the rest of the fight, with her occasionally using telekinesis to throw objects at her. The fight stalled until the timer ran out. The match was done.
