Chapter 30: Life in the Aldrich Guild

August 22nd, XXXX, The Aldrich Guild

It was the next day, and the trains arrived for both the Evergreen and Irina guild yesterday, so now, they have arrived back at their guilds and the capital felt emptier. The only traces of Evergreen left behind was Lorenzo, who decided to stay with Angélique, Haruto and Sasha because he was too much of a coward to be with Abbadon. Everyone was woken up in the Aldrich guild that morning, at around 10am for Quentin to break the news to them about Abbadon's stay here…

Johnathan> "So Master… Why have you gathered us so urgently?"

Fin> "I'm also curious about this."

Quentin> "I'm sure some already know the news, since you might have seen some of their faces yesterday… However, it's time I tell everyone."

Valorie> "You make it sound like it's bad news."

Ren> "Well… it's not exactly comforting to some of you probably."

Quentin> "Exactly."

Valorie> "Just say it already!"

Fin> "It can't be that bad surely."

Quentin> "Sahara and Abbadon will be staying with us."

Johnathan> "Sahara? Oh my, I get to meet some of my Master's old friends! How lovely- wait, what was the other one you said?"

Quentin> "Abbadon."

Fin> "...like…. THE Abbadon that tried to ruin the games?"

Johnathan> "Something doesn't seem right, why would we have them here??? With us?!?!"

Valorie> "And not tell us?!"

Johnathan> "That too…"

Ren> "It's a really long story…"

Fin> "Hm… I'm not sure I'm comfortable with some of those members specifically… But I can always just not talk to them as much. So I think it's fine. I think I can trust it if you allow them, Quentin."

Valorie> "Um… care to explain why the hell they are HERE?"

Quentin> "To put it short, they won't be staying long. Their Master died, and his request was to work together with them for the time being to eliminate this bigger threat we have. They won't be staying long in Aldrich though, I plan on making them choose another guild to enroll in but for now, they are staying with us."

Fin> "Okay so… their Master is dead, but weren't they evil?"

Quentin> "They aren't evil, they are misunderstood. They were telling us the truth since Mehkit put a truth curse on Kronos."

Fin> "Alright, seems legit enough."

Johnathan> "This all seems ridiculous though… for all that to happen so quickly…"

Ren> "We are just as shocked as you…"

Valorie> "Ah fuck it, like Fin said, it's not like we need to talk to them or anything. They are just staying here."

Quentin> "Just be nice, especially you, Valorie."

Valorie> "Fine, I'll be a bit nice. But don't expect me to be on my best behaviour either."

Johnathan> "Are you sure they won't act out or anything?"

Ren> "It's unlikely."

Quentin> "Under my watch, it won't happen."

Valorie> "Okay, I trust your word more than anyone."

Fin> "Same, you've always been the reliable and responsible type."
