Chapter 35: Tiles Echo

In the evening, since it was far away from the Aldrich Guild, Haruto, Angélique, Fin and Ren arrived at the inn which Abbadon stayed at. The inn looked pretty run down since there was also a huge fight here they didn't know about between Cordelia, Irina and Abbadon. They all took a mental note of the damage. Ren decides to chat with reception about the room.

Reception> "Oh my gosh, it's the Aldrich Knights! How may I help you this evening?"

Ren> "Can you give us the room that someone by the name... 'Kronos' was using the other day during the games?"

Reception> "Let me see... Kronos..."
The reception lady was checking through the people who signed in for the previous days and found the room, and of course, since it was a low budget Inn, the room was available.

Reception> "Yup! Looks like it's free! How long do you need it for?"

Ren> "For the rest of the night, if that's fine."

Reception> "Of course, come right this way!"
The reception lady showed them to the room they stayed in, not really questioning why they needed it or anything since she suspected it was due to the investigation of Kronos's death, since now it's spread through the capital. The reception lady opened the room, and as expected, the room was somewhat damaged from magical powers.

Reception> "This is your room! If you need anything, let us know."

Ren> "Alright, thank you."
The reception lady left.

Angélique> "Well luckily we didn't have a hard time getting this room. That would've made me fjiekdndksl"

Fin> "Same."

Fin looked at the floors, noticing it was made of tiles.
Ren> "Have you ever done this with tiles before?"

Fin> "No I haven't... but they are made of rock so it should work."

Angélique> "I'm sure it will work if you try. Surely we didn't come all this way for nothing..."
They all wouldn't even know where to go next if this didn't work.

Fin> "Well, let's find out."
Fin touched the tiles and concentrated on their memories. He can hear the voices of people thanks to the vibrations of people's voices, so he searched for a voice he could recognize. It's been an hour of looking, everyone was waiting on him to give an answer, but he grew tired and stopped.

Ren> "Did you get anything?"

Fin> "Sorry, I didn't find anything."

Ren> "This isn't good..."

Fin> "I could search further back, but it will drain me a lot to do so. I'll probably pass out."

Ren> "I see... Well, you have us three to take care of you anyway so it won't be a problem. We can wait for you to wake up too since we have it for the night."

Angélique> "Yeah, exactly!"

Fin> "Alright, let me give it a go!"

They waited there until midnight, watching Fin, or doing other things to occupy the time while they waited for Fin to get something. As soon as the clock struck 12:42am, Fin then passed out right there. They knew then that Fin had found something finally, and would explain it when he would get it. Haruto and Ren lifted him in the bed so he could rest on it instead of the floor and they all slept until Fin would wake up in a jolt saying the following at 4am in the morning...

August 27th, XXXX, at about 4am at the Inn..

Fin> "I found it!"

Everyone proceeded to wake up, and got a shock in their body from the sound of his loud voice.
Angélique> "AHHHHHH!"
