The Office Night (SidNaaz)

Chapter ~ 4 {A fortuitous day}

" Shehnaaz bacha don't cry , koi baat nahi ye job nahi mili toh dusri job toh pakka mil jayegii .. Acha ye batao tumhara interview kaha tha? matlab konse office mei , office ka naam batao Sidharth baat karlega unse tumhare baare mei ki tumhara interview miss hogaya kal aur woh tumhe ek chance dedein ." said Rita maa ever so politely.

"Aunty wo company bohot badi hai aur meko ek hi mauka mila tha wahan ke manager ne meko strictly bola tha ki "punctuality is the must over here !! So be at time " Kitni khadoos manager thi. Manager hi itni khadoos thi toh boss aur kaisa hoga. Aab wo aur mauka nahi denge meko " saying this she wept increasingly (cried more and more) .

"Arey beta batao toh sahi konsi company hai aisi joh Sidharth ke kehne pe bhi dusra mauka nahi dega ! Tum batao toh sahi , aisi India mei koi bhi company nahi hai joh Sidharth ka kehna na manne tum batao toh ! " said Rita ma trying to console her.

Sidharth who was looking at her guessing which company is she talking about that follows his company's rule as punctuality matters the most in his company.

"Agar wo Sidharth ke kehne par bhi nahi maana toh tu chinta mat kar Sidharth tujhe uski company mei kaam dilwadega ! Aur ye hum terepe koi ehsaan nahi kr rahein hai Sidharth ki company mei bhi ek assistant ki zarurat hai aur office bhi thik thak hi hai tu chinta mat kar so wo hamare liye bhi accha hoga aur tere liye bhi haina hogaya na sahi aab? " added Rita maa winking at her.

"Aunty phir bhi aab kuch nahi hosakta aap choddein" said Shehnaaz with an extremely upset face.

"Shehnaaz tum bata rahi ho ya nahi ?" asked Rita aunty angrily.

"Woh company ka naam ..woo" said Shehnaaz stummering...

"woh?" asked Sidharth getting interested in the topic.

"Woh SQL Interiors hai company ka naam "said Shehnaaz in one go.

To which Sidharth and her mom looked at each other being completely shocked and surprised. They didn't knew how to react. Then they saw Shehnaaz who was looking down in her plate but became shocked as she heard a loud robust belly laugh.

"Aap log hass kyun rahe ho ?"said Shehnaaz being completely astonished.

Controlling her laugh Sidharth asked," tum abhi tak SQL Interiors ki baat kar rahi thi?"

"Haa magar kyun" asked Shehnaaz confusingly.

"Tumhe pata hai SQL Interiors ka full form kya hai ?" asked Sidharth still laughing .

"haa ji Singhaniya QLuxe Interiors ". Shehnaaz asked still being perplexed.

" Haa toh mera naam kya bataya tha maine ?" asked Sidharth continuously chuckling.

"Sidharth" said Shehnaaz.

"Sidharth kya?" asked Sidharth persistently giggling.

"Sidharth Sin.. Sing.. Singhaniya !!" said Shehnaaz being utterly flabbergasted.

"Matlab wo company aap .. aapki hai?" added Shehnaaz.

"Ji haa wo company Sidharth ki hai " said Rita maa smiling ear to ear.

"Haaye rabba mai wo aapki company thi aur maine kitna kuch boldiya.Par aapne toh bola tha ki Sidharth ji ki company thik thak hai phir itni badi company ko aap thik thak kaise bol sakti hain. I am sorry sorry sorry ." then she started crying more and more.

"Are! Shehnaaz mat ro mat ro " said Rita maa laughing and consoling whereas Sidharth was just looking at her face trying not to laugh anymore.

"Acha chalo ye baat toh bilkul sahi huyi ki tum Sidharth ko mil gayi ! Aab toh tumhara job haath se bhi nahi gaya kyun haina Sidharth ? asked Rita maa with joy to Sidharth.

" Haa maa ! Par aapko pata hai ki mai job aise hi kisiko nahi deta mere liye self-confidence, knowledge, hardwork aur punctuality zyaada mayinne rakhti hain. Agar mei ek candidate mei woh sab dekhta hun toh hi mai usko job ke liye hire karta hoon." said Sidharth to Rita maa to which Shehnaaz was quietly listening to him.

"Shehnaaz! mai tumhe ek chance de raha hoon . Agar tum aapne aap ko prove kar sakti ho ki tumhare andar ye sab qualities hai. Toh aaj dopeher exact 1:15 mei tum office aajana , aapna interview dene . " said Sidharth in a bossy voice.

To which Shehnaaz was really thankful as she at least got a chance to prove herself and if she gets this job then it will be because of her abilities only.

"Ji thank you thank you thank you thank you so muchhhhhhh ! " saying this in an unexpected surge of excitement, Shehnaaz enveloped Sidharth in a spontaneous hug. The suddenness of the embrace caught Sidharth off guard, leaving him in a state of shock and delight. His body momentarily froze, unable to instinctively respond to this unexpected gesture. As the warmth of the hug sank in, his heart raced from its usual rhythm of 72 beats per minute to a rapid 100, a testament to the mix of surprise and happiness that coursed through him in that fleeting moment.

As Shehnaaz embraced Sidharth, a profound sense of tranquility washed over him. In the warmth of her hug, he found a sanctuary of serenity. The world outside seemed to fade away, and all that remained was the comforting presence of Shehnaaz. In that shared embrace, time stood still, and Sidharth couldn't help but marvel at the peace that enveloped him, a testament to the undeniable connection between them.
