The air was thick with tension, the kind that wraps itself around you, squeezing until you can hardly breathe. Sidharth's voice echoed through the small apartment, bouncing off the walls like a sharp, piercing bullet. His face was twisted with anger, the veins on his neck bulging as he heard Shehnaaz's comeback with the most hurtful words.

"That's good and a lot better for you. Go love whoever you want, okay? G-O    L-O-V-E    W-H-O-E-V-E-R    Y-O-U    W-A-N-T!!!!" His voice reverberated, each letter spat out with venomous precision, as if he were hurling the words like daggers at her.

Shehnaaz stood frozen, her heart pounding so loudly in her chest that she could hardly hear his next words. Her eyes, wide and glassy, were locked on him, trying to understand the torrent of emotions that had overtaken him, but nothing could have prepared her for what came next.

"Do you know what? Even I am not dying for you here. You are no one... Do you get that? No one to me... I fucking used you for my own benefits to take revenge over your fucker Ayaan. And I am fucking successful in destroying your Ayaan now. I don't need you... Do you get that?? This marriage is just a fake one!! AND I WILL NEVER IN MY FUCKING DREAMS ACCEPT YOU AS MY WIFE."

Each sentence landed like a slap across Shehnaaz's face, the force of his words pushing her closer to the edge of a precipice she never saw coming. She felt as if the ground beneath her was crumbling, the foundation of everything she believed in shattering with every hateful word that left his lips.

Even though Sidharth's voice was loud, almost unbearably so, Shehnaaz couldn't tear her eyes away from him. She looked at him, searching for even a flicker of the man she had fallen in love with, the man who had once held her so tenderly. But all she could see was the rage, the bitterness, and the pain he was trying so desperately to bury beneath his anger.

"Even if the prayers, the priest, and the temple—everything else was true but not my feelings towards you. I never take you as my wife. Do you get that? NEVER."

Those final words echoed in the room, hanging in the air like a heavy, suffocating fog. Shehnaaz felt as though someone had punched her in the gut, the breath leaving her lungs in a painful rush. Her vision blurred as tears welled up, but she fought to keep them from falling, refusing to let him see just how much he had hurt her.

The storm outside seemed to mirror the chaos brewing within the room. Thunder rumbled in the distance, but the true tempest was unfolding in Sidharth's voice, filled with a venom that Shehnaaz had never heard before.

"You know, I would have peacefully left you if you had not betrayed me," Sidharth seethed, his eyes dark and wild, burning with a fury that threatened to consume him whole. "But you—you wanted money. You wanted to destroy me and then go back to your Ayaan, didn't you?"

Shehnaaz stood there, her legs trembling as she clung to the edge of the table for support. The room seemed to spin around her, the weight of his accusations crashing down on her like a tidal wave. Each word he spat out felt like a blow, striking at the very core of her being. She wanted to scream, to defend herself, to tell him that none of it was true—but she was too stunned, too hurt, to speak.

"And thank God—thank God I found out about your true nature so quickly," Sidharth continued, his voice rising with every word. "And now, guess what? I will make your life a living hell. You'll shiver just at the sound of my name. I will fucking ruin you."

His words cut deep, slashing through the fragile remnants of the love they once shared. Shehnaaz's heart pounded in her chest, her mind reeling from the intensity of his hatred. How had they gotten here? How had the man she loved so deeply turned into someone she could barely recognize?
