Chapter~13 {Desk to Destination: The Office Trip}

It's been 3 months now, Shehnaaz has been working in the office. Everything was going well . Shehnaaz had become the heart of the office. Her bubbly yet confident nature has been top of the chart as always. Most of the people in the office are jealous of her progress , they are sweet and polite from the outer side but from inside their heart burns in each compliment she gets.
Sidharth was really happy by her work. She is confident, punctual andvey hardworking. She has very quality that a perfect assistant should have. It's not that he likes her that's why he favours her more than anyone else in the office but its her qualities that has made him compliment her in every presentation she does.

But one thing is sure that Sidharth accepts he has a soft corner for Shehnaaz and that's totally fine. Even Shehnaaz has it but both are afraid to confess about it . It's not that they haven't been close to each other in those 2 months, they have but they have labeled it as "just friends" wala tag.

One important thing that has changedis the relationship between Rita maa and Shehnaaz as now Rita maa visits Shehnaaz's house on every weekends. Shehnaaz and her chachi comes to Sidharth's house sometimes for dinner.
Rita maa has quite a doubt about chachi's behavior towards Shehnaaz which is absolutely true but is neglecting the fact about it . Once Rita maa has seen Shehnaaz getting threatened by her chachi in her house. That day Rita maa took Shehnaaz's chachi in one of the rooms and threatened her that if she doesn't treat Shehnaaz well then she is going to keep Shehnaaz with her. As Rita maa has got a solid proof against chachi which even Shehnaaz doesn't know about it. So, chachi is being all lovey dovery to Shehnaaz because of that reason.

At present,
"Hey! Shehnaaz tune wo notice dekhiiiii ?" said Aarav curiously.
" Konsi notice ki baat kar raha hai tu. Maine toh koi notice nahi dekhi" said Shehnaaz being confused.
" Arey wahi notice joh notice board pe lagi huyi hai. Tune nahi dekhi hai ? added Aarav.
"Nahi" said Shehnaaz still being confused.
" Toh phir dekhke aa jaldiiiiiiiii."said Aarav.

Shehnaaz hurried to check the notice board and was surprised to see they were getting a one-week trip. This was a thank-you for their hard work on the important presentation last week, which had earned them a lot of profit. The trip was planned to Ladakh, Manali, Kashmir, Dalhousie. Everyone was excited about this unexpected and well-deserved break, turning an ordinary day into a memorable one filled with anticipation for the upcoming adventure.

The special one-week trip was meant for those who had put in extra hours and gone the extra mile for the important presentation. The group included Sidharth, the boss, Shehnaaz, Aarav, Samaira (the office manager), and six other hardworking employees. It was a well-deserved reward for their dedication and effort, and everyone was eager to embark on this adventure together.

Shehnaaz was excited but she also has that fear that her chachi won't allow her to go. As she has never went this far that too for a week. She really wanted to go but she wasn't sure that her chachi will allow her or not.

Shehnaaz, after reading the notice, noticed that the decision about who's going on the trip needed to be given to Aarav today. With the trip starting the day after tomorrow, quick preparations were essential. It added a sense of urgency, making the need for swift decisions and arrangements clear for everyone planning to join the adventure.

After reading the notice, Shehnaaz felt worried, realizing she needed to ask her chachi whether she could go on the trip. She was upset, sensing that her chachi might not allow her. With a gloomy expression, she headed to her cabin and settled down. Observing her distress, Sidharth, the boss, couldn't bear to see her upset. He got up from his chair and walked over to Shehnaaz's cabin to check on her.

" Knock knock" he knocked on the door but Shehnaaz didn't heard it. She was in her own thoughts.
As Shehnaaz didn't hear the knock Sidharth barged in joking.
" Lagta hai aaj kisiko kuch zyaada hi kaam ka pressure horaha hai.Shakal utri utri si lag rahi hai mujhe kisiki" said Sidharth in a joking way.
Shehnaaz didn't reply to his answer.
Now Sidharth knew something was serious.

"Oye Shehnaaz, kya hua baby?" said Sidharth stroking her cheeks.
Shehnaaz came out of her thoughts this time and stared at Sidharth's face with an upset look.

" Kuch nahi" said Shehnaaz with her head hung low.

Trying to cheer her mood Sidharth said , " Acha  tum kya kar rahi ho kal. Maa tumhe aur mujhe shopping pe bula rahi thi kyunki parso toh hum jaa rahe haina isliye. Unho ne mujhe bola hai ki mai aur tum kal kuch shopping karne jaaye toh kal free hona tum ?" But little did Sidharth knew that this was the thing which made Shehnaaz sad.

Now Shehnaaz was in the verge of crying as she really wanted to go but her chachi will not allow her. And how Sidharth and his mom had already planned for shopping that too for the trip.

Sidharth sensed something was truly wrong with her as jis baat pe khush hona tha uss baat pe ye roh rahi hai he thought.

"Baby kya hua meri jaan tum aise muh latka kar kyun baithi ho ? Kisine kuch kaha tumhe? Hmmm bolo kya hua ? Ghar pe kuch hua?
To which Shehnaaz nodded in no.

" Toh phir ? Kua hua bologi?" said Sidharth looking into her eyes.
" Chachi mana kar dengi" Shehnaaz finally spoke with alot of courage.
" Kis baat ki baat kar rahe ho tum? Matlab?" said Sidharth.
" Chachi... wo wo meko trip pe jane nahi dengi..." cried Shehnaaz.
" kyun aisa kyun? Tumne poocha ?" asked Sidharth.
" Nahi dengi meko pata hai" she said with a broken heart.
" Maine kya poocha hai tumse.Tumne poocha unse? " said Sidharth.
" naahhiii" said Shehnaaz fumbling.
" Toh phir tension kyun le rahi ho babyyy..Phele poocho toh sahi . Agar nahi maani toh mai baat karunga unse." said Sidharth pecking her cheeks.

Pecking Shehnaaz's cheeks , forehead, hands were normal for Sidharth now. As they have this comfort settle within them.

" Pakka?" Shehnaaz asked with a cute pout.

" Arey pakka meri jaan" said Sidharth laughing at her cute antics.
"Promise?" asked Shehnaaz giggling.
" Arey promise meri jaan" said Sidharth hugging her tightly.
