(Umm, before starting this chapter, I just wanted y'all to know this chapter is very special to me. I tried to portray every emotion that Sidharth and Shehnaaz have been going through in these past 2 or 3 chapters. It's quite emotional. Even I was emotional while writing it. I hope you all like it. Yep, and let's begin...)

The entire car ride had been enveloped in silence until now. Neither Sidharth nor Shehnaaz said a word, both lost in their own storm of emotions. Trying to break the awkwardness, Sidharth reached for the radio and switched it on. The dial read 102.6 MHzAll India Radio

The smooth voice of the RJ filled the car, cutting through the heavy silence like a whisper meant just for them.

"Doston, kabhi kabhi zindagi humse woh cheez chheen leti hai jo hum sabse zyada chahte hain—pyaar. Kuch logon ko kabhi sacha pyaar milta hi nahi, aur kuch log uss pyaar ko apne haathon se kho dete hain. Yeh kahani hai un logon ki, jinhone sirf intezaar kiya, par kabhi apne liye pyar nahi paaya. Aur kuch aise bhi hote hain jo apni zindagi ki galtiyon aur purane zakhmon mein itne kho jaate hain ki jab pyar saamne hota hai, tab bhi usse apnane ki himmat nahi hoti. Aaj ka gaana un sab ke liye hai jo apni mohabbat mein sirf dooriyan mehsoos karte hain, jinki mohabbat adhoori reh gayi, ya jo pyaar ko samajh nahi paaye..."

The words hit both Sidharth and Shehnaaz like a reflection of their own tangled hearts.

Shehnaaz, who had been yearning for love all her life but was met with nothing but disappointment, and Sidharth, whose past haunted him so deeply that he pushed away the one person who might have healed him. Both of them, unlucky in love, drowning in the weight of their misunderstandings.

The car ride carried a heavy silence, the only sound now was the radio softly playing the heart-wrenching song. The lines seemed to echo their lives, pulling at every hidden scar.

I suggest every reader turn on the song above, start it at 3:16 on loop, and read the part below. The music will enhance the experience and set the perfect mood!

"Isko hi jeena kehte hai toh yoon hi jee lenge, Isko hi jeena kehte hai toh yoon hi jee lenge."

Sidharth, holding the steering wheel tightly, wanted so badly to surrender to his feelings for Shehnaaz. He wanted to embrace the emotions swirling inside him, to finally let go of the walls he'd built. But something deep inside wouldn't let him—his past, his guilt. He took a deep, shaky breath, trying to push down the tide of emotions he couldn't express, releasing all his pent-up pain with that one breath.

"Uff na karenge, lab si lenge, aansu pee lenge, Gham se ab ghabrana kaisa, gham sau baar mila."

For Shehnaaz, these words mirrored her life. She had learned to accept his cruelty, the harsh words, the coldness—every inch of the pain he gave her, she took silently, swallowing her tears, never allowing a single sigh to escape her lips. Her heart ached for the love she had dreamed of, but she received only hurt in return.

"Humne toh jab kaliyan maangi, kaanton ka haar mila."

Sidharth's love had once been what she longed for, but now, every time she reached out for it, all she found was pain. He gave her thorns when she asked for flowers, leaving her bruised and broken.
