After the emotional drive, the silence between Sidharth and Shehnaaz persisted as they reached the Singhaniya Mansion in Mumbai. The grand gates opened slowly as they drove in, the familiar sight of the house doing nothing to calm the storm raging in both their hearts.

As they stepped out of the car, Rita Maa, the matriarch of the mansion, greeted them at the entrance with a warm smile. Her presence was like a soothing balm to the otherwise tense atmosphere.

"Arre, tum dono aa gaye! Bohot accha laga tum dono ko dekh kar," she said, her motherly voice filled with love. Shehnaaz immediately moved forward, bending down to touch her feet.

"Aashirvaad, beta," Rita Maa blessed her with a gentle smile. Sidharth, following suit, took her blessings as well.

Rita Maa looked at them, her eyes softening as she sensed the unspoken distance between the two. "Tum dono thak gaye hoge. Jaake thoda aaraam kar lo. Ghar ka mahaul badal gaya hai tumhare aane se, but pehle thoda rest karo."

Shehnaaz opened her mouth to respond, but Sidharth interjected quickly, his tone polite but distant. "Nahi, Maa, hum dono ko abhi thoda kaam hai. Office mein kuch zaroori kaam niptaane hain." Shehnaaz turned to him in surprise, but he didn't meet her gaze. His focus was elsewhere, avoiding her entirely.

Rita Maa looked at him knowingly, but she didn't push. "Theek hai beta, lekin apne health ka bhi dhyaan rakhna," she said softly, patting his arm before heading inside.

Without another word, Sidharth led the way upstairs to their room, the tension between them thickening with every step.

Inside the room, Shehnaaz quietly began to unpack their suitcase. She placed her clothes in the cupboard first, then moved to pick up Sidharth's. With delicate hands, she folded his shirts, the familiar fabric bringing a strange comfort to her. But just as she reached to place them in the cupboard beside hers, Sidharth's voice cut through the air with a coldness that made her flinch.

"Ye tumhare kapde tum mere cupboard mein rakh sakti ho... ye haq diya kisne tumhe? Haan?" His words dripped with disdain, every syllable meant to wound.

"  Iss kachre ko hatao yahan se ..." He said throwing away her clothes in the floor.

Shehnaaz froze, the shirt slipping from her hands as she turned to face him. His eyes, filled with anger, bore into hers, and she could feel the weight of his resentment pressing down on her chest.

"Sidharth, main sirf—" she tried to explain, her voice shaky, but he interrupted her, his tone harsh and unyielding.

" Don't fucking speak when I'm talking " He shouted in a low tone as possible.

"Aur haa, ek zaroori baat," he continued, stepping closer, his gaze hardening.

"Tum koi ghar ki maharani nahi ho jo aaram se yahin baithi rahogi din bhar. Office mei kaam hai .. Office chalo . Jaise phele tha waise hi sab kuch hona chahiye ...Tum mere saath office aa rahi ho, jaise pehle aaya karti thi. Thik hai na? Aur yeh marriage... yeh drama... iska zikar tum udhar kisi ko nahi karogi. Do you get that?"

Shehnaaz's heart sank. Every word he spoke felt like a slap, each one harsher than the last. She had hoped—foolishly—that things might improve between them, that perhaps they could find some common ground. But here he was, reminding her yet again that this marriage meant nothing to him.

"You are not my wife, Shehnaaz," he said, his voice dangerously low. "And I don't accept you as one. So, you better keep your mouth shut."

She swallowed the hurt, forcing herself to stay calm. Her hands trembled as she continued folding her clothes, trying to hold back the tears threatening to spill. The silence in the room grew thick with tension.
